Tell me what you guys think. The Ducks need to add someone from Carolina who plays the style Anaheim is trying to make work under Cronin, so a guy like Necas who has been successful playing that way could be a big add for Anaheim. Chances are Carolina won't have the cap space to afford him so moving him at the Draft could be possible. The Ducks could trade a pending RFA in Lundestrom who could help Carolina add scoring depth in their bottom 6, plus a couple draft picks including the first rounder Anaheim got from EDM to sweeten the deal as I know Necas has more value than Lundestrom at this time. I am a Ducks fan, but the Canes are my 3rd favorite team so I'd love to see a deal that could help both sides.

I don’t really think Necas is worth it

I’d rather use a similar package to that to trade up from Michael Brandsegg-Nygard

Not enough for Necas. Canes can afford a Necas extension, so they don’t have to move him. So unless they package him for a roster upgrade, it’s unlikely that Necas gets moved.

I still believe Lundestrom can be a completely capable defensive 3C, he just needs wingers that can keep up with his foot speed and can shoot, he's a playmaker, not a scorer.

Have him center Vatrano and Strome next season and see the difference.

Does nothing for the Canes.
