Stamkos is probably staying in Tampa for like 500k less. the money different after taxes is obsolete and he has almost zero connection to Montreal at all

George Laraque explained recently that the Montreal market wasn't really atractive because of taxes, but because of the medias. Also, he explained that players maked somes finacial mooves to saving some money against taxes incomes.

You can forget the ‘massive changes’ because Anaheim certainly says no

Players sometimes have their official place of residence in taxless states. Again though that doesnt really change my point about Stamkos having no connections to Montreal. He will take a discount to stay with Tampa

Stamkos have no connection with MTL, you means that he haves no connection with St-Louis and Lecavalier, who both of them works with the Habs right now ?????

Yes that's exactly what I mean. They played together for 5 years nearly a decade ago. Do they know each other? Yes, but that doesn't mean much. Generally when you are 18-22 years old and just graduating highschool you aren't exactly close with guys 10 and 15 years older than him. It's not like Yzerman ever convinced Datsyuk to leave Detroit

You went to the effort of trading back from 7 to 9, then to use 9OA in the trade, why would you not just use 7OA?

So many things wrong in trade with Flyers.

1. Flyers most likely doesn't have CBJ 2nd -24 but -25 2nd instead.
2. They are not retaining 6 years of Couturier.
3. Anderson doesn't fill any hole in roster. They need C, especially if Coots is going away (which is not gonna happen).
4. They also don't need a goalie. They can just run with Sandström/Petersen as a backup next season.
5. If they would like to acquire Primeau though, let's make it simple:

Primeau <-> -25 4th. Maybe 3rd.
