    They certainly could do better if they’re intent on dealing Necas

    If the Flyers are going to make a big trade it will be for a young center and not for Necas who's a right winger, which is their strongest position.

    Necas played Center most of his life before playing for Carolina to my understanding. Given that there aren't a lot of Centers on the market it could be worth a shot

    From what I read Brind’Amour didn't like his bad defensive game which led to him being moved to RW.

    Torts would probably rather keep him on the wing if he is bad defensively.

    He's not bad defensively. He sucks in the dot. That's like the only reason. It's something Carolina fans have been wanting since he was drafted. He's scoring 70 points on the wing, move him down the middle.

    They would have to be 100% sure that Necas is able to be their 1C, if they are gonna pay that much. Doesn't make any sense to pay that for RW, which they have more than enough.

    And what is that second trade? Flyers gives you a high second (which they most likely doesn't even have), to get to keep their own player?

    Canes can do a bit better if they are moving Necas.
