I think it ends up being a very passive year for Chicago regardless of draft pick. I've seen some hawks fans want us to target some high end talent in FA to help Bedard but look how he looks this year. Assuming players like Kurashev, Reichel, and a top prospect like Nazar makes the lineup, there isn't necessarily a massive need to spend. I also think with the players we have now and players we want to make the next step up, we don't really have many roster spots anyways.

I do think Davidson's moves are really going to depend on draft position and projected outlook for our prospects. If Nazar doesn't make the next step and stays in college of the AHL and we lose the lottery, that opens up a spot or two. If none of that happens, there just isn't room. But obviously in this scenario, we don't win the lottery and Nazar doesn't make the next step up. I still don't see Davidson going after a Guentzal or Toffoli like I see some people suggest, I think its a middle six winger from FA or a cap dump.

For the defense we bring back one of Megna or Zaitsev purely for cap and veteran purposes to be a 6/7 D.

In terms of resigning players. Lock up Vlasic now long term, he's proved it all year that he's on track to being one of the league best defensive defensman with suprisingly great puck moving ability at his 6"6' size. Short term prove it deals for raddysh and reichel.

Levshunov will play in the Minors, just showing who we drafted at 4OA
