TB is the last game. I would not play the Game 1 goalie against FLA in the regular season game. It's meaningless.
I am now at Woll being the game 1 goalie. 2 bad games in a row (although 2nd half of yesterday was ok) for Sammy created this.

FLA = Sammy
TBL = Woll.

I remember some were planning on trading Brodie at the start of year. Probably would have got a decent return.

Called that in the summer because of stretch at the end of last season and playoffs.

I remember a certain someone shot the idea down by claiming that was too small sample size of bad play, clearly was not.

I guess the current Sammy form is better? It's amazing how so many people have forgotten what happened only a few months ago. Sammy is going to revert back to the bad goalie we saw earlier. Back to back stinkers and it compounds. Woll is and should be the guy. He doesn't have as much experience but we know what we are going to get with Sammy and even 2 bad games in a playoff round and you are in a major hole. Sammy is way too risky.

Sammy is exactly what we have seen. He's a peaks and valley player. When he's at his best he makes highlight real saves and keeps you in games you have no business being in. But when he's off his game, he flops all over the place, loses his angles and isn't even an NHL goalie. What version of Sammy are you going to get? Woll is poised and consistent. He's the future and should be given the chance to prove it. Throwing a guy who might be unreal one game and then get scored on from the side board on a bank shot to throw away a win is a mistake.

I never expected him to fall off the cliff as bad as he has but yeah I thought he was a guy we should move on from. Not because he was bad back then (turns out he's awful now) but because he just wasn't the right fit anymore. Fast forward a bit and he's straight up trash.

Thought Reilly and Liljegren looked good, Heck I almost want Edmundson, Timmins and Giordano to play game one.
Interesting move by Keefe to keep Samsonov in the game after the first period. Good move as maybe Samsonov got as confidence back.
But between the inconsistent goaltending, defensive play and penalty killing, I don't see how the Leafs can win a series. (if I was betting man)

The issue was if he didnt regress and we did that we would be losing a key guy to this Dcore

As last year Brodie was one of the best per stats tracking in terms of defense

Cause I feel if we traded Brodie we would have probs signed someone worse to replace. As FA options werent great

For me it was the cap hit and that money could be spend better. And that he had definitely hit his peak (and not sure at the time how much the fall would be).
Who knows what we could have got back.

Would they play Woll to let him prepare and be sharp - but take him out after a period to reduce chance of injury.
(If they don't play Woll - how long is it from his last appearance to Game 1? 11/12 days without a game).
I thought last year in the last game (or 2) TB sort of went after our goalies.

I mean he's not gonna be in game 1 hopefully as if he's going in team was not firing on all cylinders properly

He last played April 9 and the final game's April 17. He's probs gonna play April 16 so should be fine.

Jones then gets April 17 and we just wait and see playoff schedule and order

I mean but then you have to replace said Dman and in that FA there really wasnt anyone. Even if you gain some cap you need to adequately replace the guy and if we went and added Dumba would not = replacement
