I get your point but: "Prove it" deals are typically one year after a big jump in production or performance; Mitts' current deal is a bridge and he signed it after coming off his ELC where he was very underwhelming in terms of his production. Not sure what's going to happen with his next deal (long vs short-term) or how much he'll make but he does have a good case for getting a good raise over his current salary, probably more in the $6M range.

Mikkos deal is likely going be more in line with Panarin. Pasta, Nylander.
Mittelstadt deals is likely going to be longer and more expensive.
Parise and Cogs are place holders for other UFAs. league minimum will at least 825K.

So Mittlestadt signs his QO walking him to UFA status and he then signs a 2x5? None of that is happening. Also Pasta is a good comp for Mikko I would imagine COL is going to fight really hard for that.

Not with a Makar extension upcoming. Guys are going to have to accept that a million less might make a big deal. But if the cap skyrockets then sure.
