Wings have plenty of LD prospects. Maybe wallinder, and someone like veleno or berggren. Or if they want a prospect they could go with mazur.

I love Konecny, but I'm also scared his next contract makes him Brendan Gallagher 2.0. He plays with such an edge and how long can his body keep up?

Not really familiar with Wallinder. What is his projection looking like and how does he compare to Edvinsson?

This is exactly why I think they should move him rather than extend him. He is a heart and soul guy but a few years into the extension I think it could get ugly.

Don't do what Bergevin did... Pay him for the player he was rather than the player he is and will be.

He was an early 2nd from a few years ago and is playing his first year in north America. He's a big kid, 6 4, great skater but the offensive side of his game needs work. Is projected to he a 3/4 guy. Would be a great fit for an offensive guy like Drysdale. Think edvinsson with less offense.

I’m not necessarily on board with moving TK…I think we’ll just be looking to replace him for a similar player in a couple of years and it will end up costing more between contract and trade assets….but I would consider this deal. Philly needs to get a future top of the lineup C in the organization (and probably more of a priority than a LD) and I’d love to see Mitchkov and Savoie together in a couple of years.

    Ottawa is interested

As LD we have Brannstrom, Kleven, Hamara or in last case Chychrun

Forwards we have Ostapchuk, Crookshank or Norris (more valuable than the previous two)

Boston's 1st may also be available

I think Ottawa would be a good trade partner for a TK trade too. I would ask for Chychrun and Grieg idk if that’s realistic though.

Greig and Pinto are two players we don't want to trade, no mather what.

But surely we can work with Chychrun as the base for the deal

I would 100% do that Buffalo deal. Idk if Buffalo would without an extension though

certainly makes you wonder if a Chychrun-Konecny swap is somewhere in the cards. obviously there would be much more to the deal than just that as a 1 for 1, but just as the general core of the trade

If YOU can see that, then I’d imagine GMs around the league can too
If he wants a big, long extension- and it’s fair (i think) to assume he does, then i wonder if that diminishes his value a bit?

Sabres do have a lot of young prospect talent if that would interest you guys though
On the surface, we should be interested in Konecny
But it probably depends on the extension

What do u think he’s looking for in his next contract ?

That number seems low to me
But it’s not JUST the Cap number, it’s the length of the contract

There is zero chance Detroit moves Edvinsson but I could see the other package working if you switch the 1st to 2025. I wouldn't trade Mittelstadt for Konecny straight up. Mittelstadt he could hit 20g this season but it would be his 1st in 6 seasons. If Colorado added a 1st then it could be worth it. But I think Philly will get a better overall player going with an LHD.

It depends on the team. Buffalo has 14 players signed for next season and projected cap space of $21,318,930 you take a 3rd of that away and thing start to get tight. Especially when 5 of those empty slots are currently filled by players who will be UFAs.
