Description

Ottawa doesn't have enough cap space to fend off two attacks on it's RFAs, so the plan is to offer the defenseman first, then when Ottawa matches, sign Pinto. He's the guy we should be targeting for the 2C role.

Sens won’t match an offersheet. Plus a 2nd is fair value in a trade. We also have 13 mill in cap space so it shouldn’t be a problem

They have plenty of cap and potentially more I f the expected Chych/Chabot trade happens. Also the players would have to agree to the offer sheets you offer

That's not true. According to this site it's closer to 2 million.

Nope it’s 13 mill I’ve done a Sens agm a million times for next year: they could literally afford to like sign Roy and trade for like Mangiapane

That's not true. According to this site it's closer to 2 million.

Ottawa has roughly 8m in dead cap coming off the books after this year.

They wouldn’t match an offer sheet on Brannstrom and honestly I would hope Pinto gets a bit more than that and they get him locked up for 8 years.

That is something that I could definitely see Ottawa being open to. The Sens have so much depth at LD that I dont think Brannstrom's full potential was ever really unlocked and probably never would on this roster. Good chance Stl can get more out of him. The 2nd should be enough to get it done.
