Description
I've seen quite a few Isles and Oilers AGMs that involve Ottawa trading for Pageau and Ceci.

Ottawa is not interested in trading for Pageau or Ceci.

If you want Ottawa to take Pageau or Ceci, pay a 2nd round pick each and you will receive future considerations.

NSH declines. Wrong team to try to trade Chychrun to.

So do you think Ceci has negative value, or that’s is just what it would take for Ottawa to take him, because they don’t want him?

That’s because Tanev is better, not that Ceci is bad imo. We could get positive value for him from the right team. No reason to move a 2nd..

This is correct Ceci is not a camp dump. They offered a first for a better player than ceci plus having to sweeten cuz they are our provincial rivals.

You aren't getting paid to take a top-4 RHD with a very reasonable AAV and just 1 year left! That'll cost you a 2nd at least.

Just know that Ottawa is the wrong team.

No matter how many times an Oilers AGM sends Ceci to Ottawa.

Sounds good! Not sure who was sending him to Ottawa, but I’ll keep that in mind.

Staois will get = or greater to what they paid for him or they will re-sign him its simple. taking a L in a trade on a player that wants to stay is monumental stupidity and a horrendously bad way to run a team.

        1. Staios couldn't even get a 2nd round pick for Tarasenko when St. Louis got a 1st + a 3rd for him last year.

        2. Why would anyone pay a Top 12 pick for Chychrun when he's a pending UFA ??

        3. If you're signing Chych, are you prepared to give him something like 8 million x 8 ??

        4. How can Ottawa afford to have three Top 4 puck moving offensive Left Shot D ??

Who from Ottawa's D Corps are you expecting to block shots and kill penalties ??

It's "monumental stupidity" and a "horrendously bad" way to run a team.

Since coming to Edmonton, he's been elevated by a much better team with McDavid, Draisaitl and Nurse.

In the last 8 years, he played for Ottawa at one point and was hot garbage.

I've been paying attention while your life has only amounted to trashing random AGMs on Capfriendly.

        8 years.
        At least 6 coaches.
        4 different teams.

But you're smarter than then all. Sure.

And I won the Kentucky Derby last year on one leg.

In what world is undersized already overpaid arbitration eligible RFA Brannstrom worth a 2nd?

The same world where Calgary currently has nobody to play defence next season besides Weegar and Andersson.

        This one.

And Dallas' 2nd is at the bottom of the 2nd round.

Miromanov, Pachel, Kylington and even Hanley are all bigger and far more useful to the Flames than Brannstrom would be. With exception of Kylington each of them costs far less to pay too. Then there are all the NHL ready or near ready prospects Calgary has now who are also bigger, cost less and in most cases will be better than Brannstrom too.

Find another team to take your undersized reject, Calgary has no interest in him at all. Chychrun is who they'd be interested in, he'd be worth much more than just a 2nd if he comes with an extension.

Pachel and Hanley are both waiver pickups from another team, so if anyone is a reject, it's those two.

Kylington is a UFA that just experienced a major crisis with his mental health.

The only one of the 4 you mentioned that might pan out next year is Miromanov, but that's not a guarantee.

And just because a prospect is big doesn't mean he can do anything else at the NHL level.

Interestingly, you say Calgary has all these NHL ready or near ready prospects on defence that will all be better than Brannstrom, but you didn't name a single one.

I thought Brannstrom would be more affordable for Calgary because he would be less expensive than Chychrun.

But if you prefer to keep scraping the bottom of the barrel with waiver pickups, then knock yourself out.

        To each his own.

It's "monumental stupidity" and a "horrendously bad" way to run a team.

only team Senko was willing to waive for was FLA.

Staios would not and should not trade chych as a rental

i dont think chych will get 8M, i think more likely in the 6-6.5M right now unless OTT trades Chabot, Chych cannot play RHD, not both times chabot has been out and chych returned to LHD he plays so much better and his production has gone up.

better to figure out the D with chych signed than trade him for pennies on the dollar.

if OTT underpaid for chych 2 years ago, then his value right now is what OTT paid for him then or slightly hier. man do people have short memories and is it willful ignorance/stupidity.
