this team needs more 32+ year old top 6 wingers like it needs a new hole in it's head.

You clearly don't understand this team and should just delete this.
They also aren't trading Graves, who's played well for 2 5th round picks.
He's not bleeding goals, the problem with this team is the 3rd pairing which sucks, no matter where they put them on the ice, and lack of scoring. Especially in the bottom 6 which you did nothing to help.

NSH declines. Don't really want to depart with Glass as he seems like he will be a staple in the middle six moving forward and more importantly, NSH doesn't want anything to do with Rakell's contract

Would have a hard time seeing Smith waive a NTC for Ottawa, also not convinced Ottawa wold want to add a pick. If he's not producing in Pittsburgh im not convinced that would change with the Sens. Interesting idea for a rental middle 6 winger.

If you think Graves has played well you really shouldn't be telling other people they don't know the team and should delete stuff

except he has played well, he's not the reason this team has bled goals. Anyone looking at the numbers can see the 3rd pairing is the reason for that, not Graves.
But you do you.

Saying he's played well is just factually incorrect. You might actually be the only person that has ever said that about Graves this year. But you do you

i will, and he has. you over here expecting the world out of a 2LD getting paid average 2LD money. Here's a clue dude, you didn't sign a 8 mil LD. Maybe calm your expectations.
The guy doesn't bleed goals, what more do you want from an average 2LD getting paid average 2LD money. There are far worse.

No he hasn't - I mean cmon man. You are the only person on planet Earth who thinks Graves has played well. Even the homer announcers wouldn't agree with you. He has looked terrible on the eye test and the analytics/his player card back it up. He's been bad this year, doesn't mean he can't turn it around next year - but the reality hes been awful. If you can't agree to simple facts then nothing you say holds any weight. And no - that's not what I'm expecting. That might be the dumbest clue ever. I don't need to calm my expectations, because they weren't high.

I want him to perform like an average 2LD for his money. That's it.
