Trade makes no sense for either team, especially since it's a complete waste of a retention slot

CBJ pass. We’d just want futures - the main point of moving Provorov right now is to clear up roster spots, not fill them. Particularly with rentals.

Suggestions for Calgary to get a 3rd pairing LD man. Also where Mang could go?

We have Okhotiuk and Poirier.

Mange can be traded at the deadline to a contender

Weegar and Kylington will play top 4. If someone pays us to take on a cap dump defenseman then that's a bit different though

Weegar and Kylington don't get the flames in the playoffs and if injured there is not nearly enough depth.

Neither are defensively responsible or sound at an AHL level. Neither are ready for a full time nhl spot.

Well first of all. Weegar is a top 20 defenseman in the league and Andersson is sure to bounce back.

And playoffs? Surely you jest

Sure, I'm not knocking Weegar or Andersson. Andersson has had some good play this season regardless if it's been down. They are good defense men but behind them this team lacks and those two need more support.

Calgary is close to a wildcard spot and have a growing young core If Calgary lands Celebrini then they could start to turn it around with a few good moves.

Close to a wild card? They're 18 points behind WC2 and they sold off some major players at the deadline. Getting Celebrini would be awesome but that's not nearly enough. Prospects are rarely superstars right out of the gate. Even Bedard, who is much better than Celebrini isn't at his full potential yet.

Calgary will need at least 1 more year of selling, they have some very solid defense prospects coming up the system
