Wasn't aware the Leafs were planning a first round exit this year, otherwise that's a huge overpay to move up 8 spots from 35 to to 27th.

Lizotte isn't taking a pay cut. He deserves a raise, which is the only reason why he might not be back with LA next year.

The Kings have no interest in Timmins.

Los Angeles wouldn't pick Timmins up off waivers and Kaliyev fits us better than Robertson would. Lizotte's Qualifying Offer is $1.675 million and we'll try to re-sign him for $2.

Another fascination with Roy. This time the 30 year gets a seven year contract

He deserves every dollar and I only wish the Kings could afford it.

AZ is not giving up a good cost-controlled goalie and an A- defensive prospect for a 2nd and a 5th.

So many players especially Dmen, "fall off the cliff", just not worth their contracts in their early 30s and certainly their mid 30s, Just better short term players out available much better value.

Top quality defensive RHD are so few and far between. The Kings have no one in the organization to take over his role after they traded away his heir apparent in Brock Faber.

I very much hope that Roy will consider a team-friendly extension, but there's absolutely no justification for him to accept anything less than Gavrikov's AAV, and the Kings can't afford to pay him that.

This is what differentiates fan opinion from GM action. Fans don't like giving term to 30 year olds, but that doesnt stop GMs from signing them. Roy feels like a treliving target and a pretty nice slot in for TOR, and given the competition for him he isn't going to come cheap.

You're right about Trevling who a poor GM for the Flames. Eights years of 30 year old Huberdeau, seven years for 31 year old Kadri, eight years for 29 year old Weager.
