Holtz is no longer on the table for markstrom after his disastrous last 12 games of an 0.875 save%.

Every day we get closer to the Fleury to Chicago price

Holtz is a bust, I don't do Markstrom to NJ unless it's their first or Mercer preferably both with Vancouvers pick going the other way.

In what world is Harris more valuable than Mangiapane at 50%?

Thank you, no take backs!
Barzal is definitely one player who could return Mang back to his 30 goal form

Lol. Come back to reality. Markstrom has been an 0.875 goalie for the last 2 months. Overall a sub 0.900 goalie over the last 2 years

Still an improvement over Jerseys team save percentage over the same period.

You clearly haven't been keeping track of the D we're icing, and the fact that the games became meaningless a few games after the deadline.

Markstrom had a bad game against the Ducks.

He's not a sub .900 goalie, no matter how you try to twist things, and I'd be more than happy if the Flames keep him.

Enjoy spending assets on your goalie search in NJ, we sure went through it with Ramo, Berra, Elliott, Smith, Rittich, and Talbot. Trust it's not a fun spot to be in.

Over that period for NJD:

Schmid: 0.905
Daws: 0.881
Allen: 0.909
Kahkonen: 0.921

Over the last 2 years Jacob Markstrom is 0.899 in the last 2 years.

If Markstrom can't be better than a 0.875 in 12 games where 48 combined games were played by Tanev, Hanifin, Kylington, Andersson, and Weegar, then it's a good thing NJD chose Kahkonen instead.

Dgibb's a bit if a troll, but the markets gonna be alot more competitive in the offseason, with names like Ullmark being out there.

Connie might have dropped the ball, not getting a deal done when it was available.

No he hasn't, your a troll, ignoring the same excuse you just made for your goalies. Who's been playing in front of him since the TDL?

They are both goalies for NJD are they not? And schmid and daws both have higher save%s as well.

In these 12 games by markstrom of 0.875 play

12 games by Weegar
12 games by Andersson
12 games by Kylington
7 games for hanifin
5 games for Tanev

That is a quality top 4 worth every game.

Far better than anything Kahkonen has had to work with all year.

And it wouldn't have gotten better in NJD with Siegs, Marino battling injuries, Hamilton out for the year and Miller traded.

Brendan Smith has been playing 20+ minutes a night since the trade deadline

You're just being contrary for the sake of being contrary.

Hey if I were Jersey I wouldn't want to do any more deals with Calgary either, that Toffoli deal's really looking good.

For Calgary and Winnipeg.

Yegor was worth a 2nd, he was traded for Toffoli along with a 3rd, and when the season didn't go well Toffoli sent out for a 2nd and 3rd.

Or are calgary fans fooled by a jacked up shooting% and some more power play time?

I used to think the same but not anymore. Mercer is playing RW on the 3rd line lately with Nosek at center and Fiala is centering the 2nd line. Holtz is at RW on the 2nd line. AFAIC Holtz is more valuable than Mercer now and that's not because Holtz' value went up it's because Mercer's went down.

Kylington didn't look good in the top 4 on a pairing with Andersson. That's why waiver pickup Hanley, and Sharks pickup Okhtyuk were on the Andersson pairing in the last couple of games. Before that waiver pickup Pachal got the opportunity in the top 4 with Kylington.

I know you haven't been watching the Flames because Markstrom hasn't been nearly as bad as you're trying to show him. He has been the best player playing for the Flames this season. As for last year, Sutter was playing mind games with Marky. You can listen to it in the Toffoli and Weegar interviews in the offseason.

Kylington needs a physical stay at home partner who likes to hit. That's Pachal. Weegar would be an even better partner for him but that probably only happens if they move Andersson or pick up a LD like Chychrun.

I love him but he hasn't been great, but I did forget to consider the 50% tbh

I don't get the whole hasn't been great thing. He's played the 4th hardest minutes in the league among forwards, half of that was with the husk of Lindholm. He also has great metrics despite that. He has nearly every single one of his points at even strength, and he's scoring well below expectation. IMO he's having a pretty solid season and if we aren't being offered a 1st I'm holding him to the deadline
