Wings have no room on left side or cap space for this trade, wings have to pass

Not sure what made you think Detroit needs a LHD or can afford a cap dump, but neither is true.

I would say hard no. The Sabres are a skilled group that is both physically and mentally soft- these additions don't address any needs. Kyrou is obviously a nice player, no shade intended, he should get something nice back, but this isn't what Buffalo is missing.

Detroit passes. They have tp resign Seider and Raymond, pick up an RHD to play behind Seider and probably get another goalie. Plus Detroit has LHDs coming out of their ears. So taking on $4.5M in cap for the 3 seasons for a 32yr old dman they don't need, doesn't make a lot sense.

Buffalo has no need to make that trade

Wings pass, and the Kyrou trade is extremely inadvisable.

No and no

Would rather just buyout Krug at that point

And keeping Kyrou is the best route. He's having a "bad year" and still on pace to be just shy of 70 points. He is a dynamic player that is improving still so patience is key. Absolutely hate why Blues fans claim we must trade him.

I can see the Sabres being interested in Buchnevich with an extension but not Kyrou. Just doesn't fit the profile of what they need.

Sabres aren’t doing that
ZERO CHANCE

Dahlin, Power & Byram are all pretty much untouchable
It’s pretty clear we’ve chosen to build our defense around those 3 guys

Understood. Would Faulk be of interest. The Blues need to rebuild and these older players, though serviceable, aren't part of the solution. Thanks.

I get that, but long-term the Sabres won't have the minutes or dollars to accommodate all three.

Couldn’t disagree more- you’re frankly just wrong

Byram-Dahlin are the top pair, Dahlin plays RD
Power heads up the 2nd pair

And Cap Space isn’t an issue at all
We have plenty of room moving forward
And we have our 1C (Thompson) and 2C (Cozens) locked up long term at good Cap hits

I’m sorry, but u just don’t seem to have a very good understanding of the Sabres

And even if we were gonna trade Byram, it wouldn’t be for a forward- that would make very little sense- since we just traded a forward to get him
We did that (obviously) with the idea that we’d be spending the Cap on Defense (Byram) as opposed to forward (Mittelstadt)- or in the case of your ACGM, Kyrou

Btw, Byram probably isn’t gonna cost as much as Kyrou is signed for
Plus, we still have a TON of forward talent coming
We wouldn’t trade a top4 defense for forward
We frankly wouldn’t trade a top4 defenseman for anything,
which is why i said that Dahlin, Power & Byram were “untouchable” (for the most part)

I'm sorry I thought I responded to this already. Maybe but he will probably be more than Yzerman will give up,
