Ruffer saying dont overreact? Brother Fitzy had all the time to fix the goalie and Inexperience dcore and he said nah im good . Trade for Toff which we didn't need to at the time now he is on the Jets and Yegor has 30. Gonna be sick to see Holtz score 30 next year too( don't trade him, just get a coach and Gm who like him/ know how to actually coach).

Devils BIGGEST NEEDS:NO MORE SMALL/speedy guys, they need to get bigger, stronger and physical enough of this BS speedy is only key BS is not it, 2 yrs now they have been bullied. A #1 goalie, dont overpay and you better get ready to watch Holtz break out cuz our coaches and GM are clueless and dont know how to use players. VET DMEN depth no more relying on the youth it hurt them this year. A C/LW for jack cuz haula is a 3C and Jack is awful at faceoffs.

Finally A new GM who isnt a CLOWN, from his pressers, to his do nothing offseason and now his waited to late trades he got to go, He is the problem oh and the "right coach" tf does that mean? who that? Keep in mind Devils will have ECF expectations now. So inexperience NHL HC is a risk.So do you really steal an AHL coach, or go after the Sharks assistant coach or hire someone with little-to no NHL inexperience or hire someone with NHL experience like berbue(he doesn't fit the system of speed BTW), Woodcroft? Sully isn't getting fired BTW, Do not go after NCAA coach, maybe for assistant sure but i rather Mckee and Gronborg for those spots.

Fitzy really ruined this team and he will do it again this offseason. GET SOME Size so we dont have a 3rd year of getting pushed around but yeah i guess you guys love that cuz SPEEEEED is everything. clueless fanbase and clueless ownership plus GM. So stop trading Bahl, we need his length and physicality yall so scared of size and physical eh is so sad that yall want this team to be SUPER SOFT every year YIKES. No excuse for this season, no more defending Fitzy when he had every chance to not have it go south. Nothing will change under fitzy.

You were the first one screaming Bahl would handle the job and losing Severson/Graves wouldn’t hurt.

You were the first one saying no to Allen trades + saying Vanecek/Schmid would do the job

Also Jack Hughes has been injured since December. Tom Fitzgerald knew this. He was not going to go all in on a season where we had 2 rookies leading us in ice time and our best player at 75%.

If you told any devils fan preseason that we’d lose both Jack Hughes and Dougie Hamilton, I would certainly not suggest Fitzgerald to buy big.

This guy also has a weird obsession with size.

Unless you want to start the rebuild over completely and tear it down to the studs, NJD will never be a physicality based team. NJD needs some physicality in the bottom 6 sure (Trenin), but they also need SPEED and guys who can play fast and keep up with Jack Luke Nico Bratt etc

New Jersey still has one of the best young cores in the league. It's definitely a shock that they miss the playoffs this year but they will get back to it next year. This team is far from ruined.

If they can get a starting goalie. Healthy Hughes and healthy Hamilton. This team looks quite good. Nemec and Luke Hughes (and holtz and Mercer) being 1 year older would help a ton also.

At least you still have your 2024 1st. You get another good prospect and go at it again next year.

Clearly the solution is MORE of guys like Brendan Smith, Bahl, Bastian, Nosek, Macdermid. They totally haven't all been awful all year
