Any team that wants to take a chance on a young goalie but I feel ANA should move Gibson and go with Dostal and Knight. Knight and Zegras are good friends so maybe both can get each other going on the ice feeling more comfortable. Return can be adjusted (i.e. pick that is conditional on his performace)

I don’t see why we trade for another goalie though, just sign a backup in FA

The Panthers F'ed up hard giving Knight a 4.5M AAV contract while he's essentially an AHL goalie. Regardless of his upside to become an NHL 1A/B I find it really hard to think any team wants to pay him that contract he's on right now. And it locks that team into paying him that much or more on his next contract.

Said simply that's a no from the Ducks. If they trade Gibson, and that's a big if, there will be cheaper options to share the crease with Dostal.

I think at this point if we moved on from Gibson, I'd rather get paid to take Campbell than pay to get Knight.

Florida just absolutely botched his contract, he should be at most a 2 million dollar goalie right now.

To put that in perspective Dostal makes ~800k this year and next. That's what a 22-23 yr old trying to break into the league should be making. Knight at 4.5M is utterly ridiculous.

This is terrible take. Campbell has multiple season left knight has two more doesn’t make as much and as more potential than most. He’s been much better and has played the whole year. Yes he’s in the ahl but that’s because panthers wanted him to have playing time instead of playing 20 games on the nhl. Hes not getting traded he still has potential to be very good in the nhl.

Why are you trading the much better player for an older less effective winger that they do not need. Just keep Bennett dont sign kulikov

Campbell's first dozen games in the AHL were in the mid 800s, he's recovered and played well enough consistently enough to get to a 0.920 on the season in the AHL, knight is putting up NHL average save percentage against lesser competition in the AHL. For a goalie with so much promise, he should be killing it at that level.

$500,000 isn't even an ELC, the amount he is cheaper is insignificant, as to the contract, he's got what, one less year than Campbell? Plus when he's done, he's gone, so instead of trying to recoup assets for knight, I can get assets for Campbell, and potentially get more towards the end if he plays well, and on top of all that, Knights not pushing Dostal out for the starting gig.

Well the oilers ain’t giving up that much to get rid of him and knight isn’t getting traded. So it doesn’t matter. Plus his gaa is like 6th in the ahl which is a better stat for the ahl and his save percentage is about league average in the nhl. I’d rather take a gamble on knight then know what I’m getting in Campbell

Maybe someone spends that for knight, but even if they move Gibby, I see no reason ANA wouldn’t just sign a FA backup
