Necas Zegras Parehk

Created by: DQavis
Team: 2024-25 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 14, 2024
Published: Apr. 14, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Instead of mesar in the possible zegras deal i put heineman. So i put them both in ir maybe both needs to be moved to add value for both deals.

Tdl moves (dvo army evans savard) if possible take picks and cap back

The taxi squad is guys i think can crack the lineup for the future and show you wht im thinking

Hopefully this team makes playoffs and shows are future is here.

Was also thinking taking on campbell for a first or xb to add to deals if the fans of the pther team believes value is low and would rather another pick or prospect.

I believe if mtl lands 5-7 there gonna end up with parehk which is so solid for the future

Ifnt parehk

1.
ANA
  1. Barron, Justin [RFA Rights]
  2. Kapanen, Oliver [Reserve List]
  3. Ylönen, Jesse [RFA Rights]
  4. 2024 1st round pick (WPG)
  5. 2024 2nd round pick (COL)
Additional Details:
(20-32 ovr)
(50-64 ovr)
Col and wpg play each other in the first rd so either pick has decent value and no matter what its a mid first or 2nd which is fair.

Kapenen is a good bottom 6 future depth who has some potential
Anahiem doesn’t have much rhd depth in there charts so barron might thrive better with more opportunities.
Ylonen is nhl ready and more opportunity with less guys locked up in the bottom 6 in anahiem might help him grow more and is good depth.

Im not sure whats missing in this deal as zegras isnt highly valued rn and anaheim already has carlsson and mctavish.

If smt is missing is we could add
(Mesar- Farrell)?
2.
MTL
  1. Necas, Martin [RFA Rights]
  2. Trikozov, Gleb
Additional Details:
Imnt sure glebs value idk if kidney and a 2nd covers but hopefully from a canes fan pov this deal is solid

Because carolinas prospect pool is so stacked as well as there roster idk if a guy like gleb comes back for how highly viewed.
If gleb is to much to ask for what abt suzuki?
CAR
  1. Anderson, Josh ($2,750,000 retained)
  2. Kidney, Riley
  3. Konyushkov, Bogdan [Reserve List]
  4. 2025 1st round pick (MTL)
  5. 2025 2nd round pick (MTL)
  6. 2025 2nd round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
Depending on where this mtl team is at i would do this trade before zegras trade so gms doesnt know mtl is loading up and value can lead towards mtls favour
(10-32 ovr) mtl 1rst
(42-64 ovr) pit and mtl 2nd

Kidney and konyushkov are instresting prospects for car to take on kidney is a mid b- prospect who can turn into smt but mtl system is stacked with lower potential guys who wont get a shot with all the contracts and higher rated prospects mtl has. Bogdan is a very interesting prospect aswell because he is young rhd and a captian in the khl arleady and is producing but wont come over next season and can be a very good prospect for carolina with there already stacked d charts and the d they alr ice now. There losing there stacked d core in the next few years and young guys coming up and playing/taking over will keep them good.
Car is in win now mode so retaining on a speedy power forward who hopefully can bounce back and be good top 9 rw for this team.

That's a comical offer for Necas. Anderson is a cap dump. A 1st next year, not even this year, and two seconds with two C prospects is not getting Necas.

Not even close to what we would want for one Trevor Zegras who is not on the trade block like you Montreal fans think for some reason

I mean Montreal isn't any more of a playoff team next year than they are this year, so I'd probably take the 2025 pick over 2024 considering it's a better draft.

laugh Neither Necas or Zegras trades are remotely close. Both offers would be totally beaten.

While that's true, that's not worth taking on Anderson for. Necas gets strangled by Rod's system and in another free flowing offense instead of the "point shots and pray for deflections" Brind'amour wants, he's going to flourish. Especially on a team that will let him play as a center. Montreal are desperate for help up the middle, and Necas has a campaign of wanting to play down the middle that may as well be Roman because he's not giving up.

Trevor Zegras is not on the market, and I don't believe that the similar-value Martin Necas is, either, but if they were, neither offer is close for them.

It would take your own 2024 first plus an A prospect like Owen Beck or Filip Mesar to persuade their team to part with either.

Barron probably tops out at second-pair RhD and Kapanen and Ylonen are bottom-6 wingers; it's not clear to me that Ylonen is even worth his Qualifying Offer. You're the first person who's ever used the word "speedy" to describe Josh Anderson, and the two B prospects in THAT offer are no more impressive than Kapanen and Ylonen. Castoffs like that don't get you top-6 forwards like Necas and Zegras, both of whom are comparable to Cole Caufield and each of whom had far better starts to their careers than Juraj Slafkovsky.

"I'm not sure what's missing in the Zegras trade"

Value, value is missing in the Zegras trade.

"Zegras isn't highly valued right now" is outright Libel

"Anaheim already has Carlson and McTavish" so we push him to the wing, or run three scoring lines, we have options.

No amount of spare parts is getting Zegras, if you want him, cough up pieces of actual value.

Yeah, you Habs homers love to say that without a shred of statistical support.

Zegras best year 81gp 23g 42a -24
Caufield 80gp 27g 37g -4

Caufield better sniper better defensively better playoffs

Already did a stats comparison with a hardcore smart canes fan who knows alot about necas and downed him caufield out produces necas in every aspect except assisting even then caufields shot rebuilds and goals created dominated also better playoffs and necas plays on the canes. If u asked every team in the league besides caufield or zegras every says caufield.
Caufield v necas will be more 60-40 caufield thats cuz hes a sniper but is proving to be a complete player on a ****tier team. Necas is also 2 years older

Why you think that 64 points in 80 games proves that Caufield is better than Zegras' 65 points in 81 games is truly homeristic.

Zegras: 210 games, 55 goals, 98 assists = 153 points (just under 0.73 PPG), -41
Caufield: 203 games, 80 goals, 68 assists = 148 points, just under Zegras PPG (0.725), -39

The fact that you're blinded by homer bias is the absurd pontification that "If u asked every team in the league besides caufield or zegras every says caufield." That's wholly imaginary, as is the statement that he's any better defensively than Zegras, who right now is having a better season defensively than Caufield despite having played 20 games while injured.

Don't worry, you'll grow out of it.

That’s your opinion. Nobody had Reinbacher going to MTL at 5 last year. I had him fourth. The fan choices are rarely the one of the hockey ops group make. Helenius is basically a playmaker/dual threat version of Leonard. He had had a similar production as Catton’s at the U17 and a better production at the U18 last year. Fans are always drooling thinking of landing a CHL prospect. NHL teams know and value euro player.

Helenius is more a dual threat than a pure playmaker. He is playing harder and against toughest competition than the prospect you mentionned. Newhook and Suzuki are dual threat forwards. Dach is a pure playmaker for now.
