You'll be lucky to get a third for him, I think. He's 24. He is what he is, which is an unspectacular, solid bottom six C. He did not remotely fill in for Larkin in terms of impact or production. Every team has one of him.

I doubt he gets more than an early third and a late rounder

3rd rounder or maybe a middling prospect like Veleno that some other team doesn't care much for.

I think there's a timeline where the Blues would pay a 3rd for him. Probably not a super likely timeline, but it's there nonetheless.

3rd most likely.

He had a great start to the season (for him).

But he is what he is at this point.

A 4th line C/W who skates well.

Brings some energy.

He's Sam Steel 2.0 he can play well enough to stay in a lineup, but that's about it.

Pitt, Boston, etc might give you a middle pick for him, but only teams with barren cupboard will be interested, and there are younger, higher ceiling guys probably available like Krebs this season.

He had a great start to the year and came back down to earth a bit. He is still one of the best skaters on the team. I think with better linemates he is a much better player. Nobody benefits from playing with guys like Ras and Fishcer and Czarnik.

I expect Yzerman to sign and keep Veleno.

3rd round pick most likely, but i wouldn't do that. He brings a lot of speed and he finishes his checks.

Rather keep him as he should be cheap and the return would be inconsequential

He'll easily get us a 3rd round pick.

And he's easily going to get 3 x $1,500,000 he's arbitration eligible and has put up career numbers so far.
