I can’t see ottawa accepting this trade . The 1st is way too late. That’s likely 31st or 32nd overall . Laughton is a bottom 6 player

I figured PHI 1st or Bonk would make the value too high, Laughton makes wayyyy too much sense for OTT, good 2 way player, 40 points, leader, he knows Giroux, not expensive & he has term

Laughton doesn’t hold value in the grand scheme of things . I would rather a 2nd rounder than Laughton .

3 million might be a bit much, 2.5x2 I’d be fine with, if not then I’m sure there’s other options aswell for the same price or cheaper

Bonk is probably Flyers only untouchable that is not named Michkov so.

Someone on ur team would finally play hard if Laughton got traded there. Although I bet he wouldn’t get along with Stutzle too well he probably doesn’t like divers.

why do you say he doesn’t hold value? 29 years old, back to back 40 point seasons, good in his own end, signed for 2 more years 3 million per, Coleman put up 50 points & makes 4.5-5 million per

Agreed I would do this for the 1st rounder cause I don’t see them moving Bonk unless ur talking superstar level like a Tkachuk deal or some other star player on a team

Cause he spends all day on here and on Twitter and only looks at point totals and not intangibles. Laughton completely changed the vibe of an entire locker room in a year and showed rookies how to play hockey and be a pro.

way too much for saros, he dont have that value

Laughton is the most overated player in the NHL, and that dont even comes close to chych, OTT declines

so many ppl tell me that’s not enough for Saros & Laughton has back to back 40 point seasons? 29 years old, good in his own end, good leader, not soft, he’ll hold players accountable

No one is going to take on Norris' contract, until he proves he can stay healthy and productive for at least a full season - it's a huge risk, not an asset.

Korpisalo is a multi-year cap dump.

Søgaard isn't good either. He doesn't add any value.

The two actual assets here don't amount to enough for Saros - even without the bad contracts dragging down the value here.

Norris, Jarventie & BOS 1st is for Saros then Sogaard to take on Korpisalo contract

No thanks on Norris. He hasn't proven he's worth that contract when he's healthy, and he can't stay healthy.

A not great #3 goalie isn't close to enough to take on four years of Korpisalo.

NSH counters with OTT and BOS' 2024 1sts for Saros.

Too much risk with Norris' health being uncertain and Korpisalo being bad.

Maybe if it comes with a Chychrun extension. Bonk is our best defensive prospect and is likely the only other untouchable next to Michkov.

only way OTT can take on Saros is if Norris or Korpisalo are gone, definitely not taking him unless 1 of the goalies are gone aswell, I had Laughton & FLA 1st for Chychrun, I would give BOS & FLA 1st, Korpisalo & Jarventie for Saros

Chychrun would sign there imo, his dad played there, 7x7 I think gets it done, Hanifin type deal

Meh, I don't love it for NSH. I might be more open to it if NSH had a buy out slot available, if Korpisalo can't be fixed.

I really don't think OTT is NSH's best trade partner, when it comes to Saros. The Sens' prospect pool doesn't have much to offer NSH, and any players OTT would be willing to move don't do much for the Preds either. OTT's own 1st in 2024 is really the only asset they have that might entice Trotz to move Saros, before next season's deadline (assuming NSH isn't in a playoff position and/or Askarov has shown he's ready to be an NHL starter).

I think NSH could get a return that works better for them from other teams, like NJ, LA or CAR.

OTT COULD offer 1 of Greig/Pinto like NJ could offer Mercer/Holtz, I don’t want OTT to do it, those guys are untouchables for me, I think NJ would move 1 of those guys so I understand what you’re saying, would Saros rather go to OTT or NJ to live for the rest of his career? who’s going to offer more $ or longer term? it would be interesting
