If ones a bust then both are busts... just comparing stats

Kakko is a year older, and has 2 more years of NHL experience, the expectations for Kakko are also higher as a 2nd overall pick than Perfetti at 10th. Perfetti is just over .5 points per game over his career, Kakko's best season was just under .5, I wouldn't call either a bust, as ultimately they're NHL players playing a decent role, but Kakko certainly is a disappointing 2nd overall pick, while Perfetti is showing more signs of being worthy of his draft position.

I'm not sure what Perfetti is going to turn into but I think I'd keep him over trading him for Kakko.

Really wish the Jets had taken Schneider instead of Perfetti though.. 🙄

One is a former 2nd overall pick that has a career 0.39ppg in 300 games.

The other is a year younger and has a career 0.53ppg in less than half the games of the other.

Kakko is a bust. Rangers fans need to realize that & stop overhyping him.

To be fair, Perfetti is watching the playoffs from the press box. He shows flashes of being a star but it’s very inconsistent and the foot speed still isn’t there. The Jets still very much believe in him, (and still a very good chance he becomes a good player) so I don’t think this trade would never happen.

Can’t argue there, are the rumors of him potentially wanting out possible or just speculative?

Rumors he might ask out due to lowered ice time but could just be reading to much into it. I don’t argue Kakko is a bust but I won’t say that he’s a complete non-factor. He suffered a significant injury and struggled to build off a respectable season last year. It happens.

That’s what I assumed. I’m sure the Jets would field offers but guessing this isn’t enough to sway there hand.

Nope. No rumours about that at all.

Cute responses. People have no patience and would have traded Laf for Perfetti last year too. Kakko will have a better career, pass
