Description
New Ownership seems committed to spending this year, what better way to spend then sign a top FA in Reinhart.

Reinhart - arguably best FA this year -- would make a great impression to players/fans/owners around the league, and show ownership is committeed

Lindholm -- Lindholm has fallen off a good bit, but was once considered very talented. He's probably played himself out of the rumored big extension he was offered from Calgary, so I expect him to sign a 1/2 year deal similar to what John Klingberg did. Playing with an up and coming team like Utah might inspire his game.

Trades:

Hayton -- admit some personal bias with this one, but I think others on the roster make more sense to keep at this point, get the assets re-allocate it towards a spot where theres more needed.

Lindgren/Harris--- ARZ D-Core needs upgrades, they currently have a lot of offensive guys so to balance it out they bring in defensive guys. I think long term the sights should definitely be higher for defensman, but I'm not sure the current best d on the market make sense for Utah, I think the best plan at the moment is let Simashev and #6* pan out.

Draft:
*#6 - Anton Silayev

I could see the Utah Hockey Club adopting a strategy very close to this. Some good thoughts put into this team. Not sure anyone is paying a 2nd for Hayton. Despite his draft pedigree, his pro career thus far has been pretty underwhelming.

Originally I had it like that, I changed it because I wasn't sure if Hayton would have a spot in MTL's top 9. Also Kyle Davidson mentioned they can't finish bottom 3 again next year, which to me means they plan on making some moves this offseason. So I sent Hayton there.

Montreal might not have interest in Hayton, but In my personal opinion I would rather him than the late 2nd. Either way it’s not a bad trade for Montreal

Kyle loves his draft picks. He isn't spending a 2nd on Hayton. Reading between the lines on his comments, the Hawks will be more aggressive than last year signing better, short term UFA's. And likely more open to taking on a high priced player or two for lesser assets than the past two summers. The primary goal remains unchanged. To build through the draft. Hawks are likely only trading 1st's or 2nd's to move up in the draft.

Looking at our roster next year, if we don’t winnCelebrini he would have a spot.

    fair enough.

I kinda expect a mix of both -- signings like Foligno/AA89 type signings, and 2nd or mid rounds picks for upside bets.

Truthfully I'm not really a huge fan of Hayton, which is mostly driven by me thinking he was overated coming into the year. Although he have 43 points in 82 games last year, then battled and struggled this year.
