Nice lineup , not sure Palat and Coleman would agree to the moves. Thinking the return for NJ is light.

Coleman aint worth a 1st, hes not worth a 2nd now, never hit 40 points in his career until this year, he will be 33 this year, he wont hit 50 ever again.

OTT has zero interest in a 30 point 3rd/4th line player making 6M (palat) and OTT not trading norris when his value is low, they decline NJD trade.

OTT declines SEA trade, mot id give up for Oleksiak is a 2nd and the rest of the package dont come close to chychs value

Jersey and Calgary decline hard. Seattle only considers it if Chychrun comes with an extension.

That's Boston's pick which is going to be a very late one not Ottawa's own pick. Coleman isn't going anywhere for just a late 1st.

Ok and? You think Coleman is worth a top 10 pick? Come on man 😂

Palat is getting paid 6 mill for 31pts. Jersey bets on Norris bouncing back and runs with this

Bro is 32 and just had a career year. Youd be lucky to be selling him high 😂 He’s not worth a 1st in any other stronger draft class.

Blake Coleman doubled his career shooting% at age 32. Clearly he is worth the moon and this TOTALLY isn't just a 1 year shooting heater like we've seen so many times before

I’m not even getting him for his 30 goals . I’m getting him for 35-40pts with high end defensive play . He can do the dirty work for Stutzle and Giroux while not being an anchor offensively

I agree. He's certainly a valuable hockey player and worth paying for. But calgary fans have gotten themselves convinced that 1 year shooting% heaters has guys like Coleman and Sharangovich are consistent 30+ goal scorers worth the moon.

I didn't say he was worth a top 10 pick. Calgary won't be trading him for a late (very late in fact) 1st. His leadership and the example he provides make him worth more than that to the Flames. Keeping a few good veterans to lead and provide examples to the young player are going to be very important the next few years. Weegar and Coleman lead the pack in that respect with Kadri right behind them.

Yeah, and Coleman while great this year, is 33, and signed for 3 more years. Which team would offer more?! Coleman also happens to be a winger, so he's taking a spot in the top 9 away from Coronato, or Pelletier.

Top 9 locks unless traded: Kadri, Backlund, Huberdeau, Coleman, Mangiapane, Sharangovich, Kuzmenko, Zary, and Pospisil.

Coleman is a keeper. The team needs a few veteran leaders to provide examples for the young players. He won't be traded at all unless someone makes the kind of offer that's so good it can't be refused. A late 1st isn't that.

Again, I agree that the team needs a couple of vets. That's what Backlund, Huberdeau, Kadri, Andersson, and Weegar are for. How many vets does a team need to set a culture?

Is Coleman during a rebuild going to help the team more than a 1st?
