Signing Stamkos is a legit possibility now that Kane is likely not coming back. I just can't see how Tampa can afford him with their cap situation.

Wings can toss 8mil x 3y or 4y at Stammer. Tampa can't. He's worth that easily.

We don't have anyone in system ready to fill this holes anytime soon. ASP is probably 2-3 years out and don't have any elite wing talent coming up. The fit is there at least.

Nothing is confirmed. All speculation. Kane may very well want to stay but isn't committing to anything yet.
I'd be happy to offer him a 2 year deal at 6 million per season. Wings can easily afford that and lock up Raymond and Seider.
