For about the 50th time, we're not trading that for a 34 year old goalie.

Flames decline it pretty easily so that's fine

Somehow the blue line is worse than last year's which is scary. I'll take markstrom but for what he is going to cost is it worth it.

CHI is not paying anything for Fabbri. With their intent to ice a competitive and improved team next season and their large stockpile of picks already, I doubt they would even take him as a cap dump. Fabbri is not an improvement. He is just another overpaid, injury prone, placeholder that CHI is unlikely to have any interest in.

Fabbri would be 5th in production for Chicago this season lol.

Which isn't saying a whole lot. After Bedard and Kurashev, the offense of the Hawks was pathetic. And Fabbri wouldn't have the same level of production in Chicago as he did in Detroit because he'd be playing w/ less talented line mates.

It is saying a lot when his claim is that they want to ice a competitive and improved team next year... But would have no interest in a guy better than all but 4 of their forwards?

Fabbri also gets more ice time in Chicago, which kinda counters your less talented linemates claim.

He would NOT have that kind of production on a CHI team with far less high end or experienced talent to help him get there. Period. Not to mention he can't stay healthy, which was CHI's biggest issue this year, and will be something they want to avoid going forward. Fabbri is not, nor should he be, a target, unless we are being compensated to absorb his cap hit.

Fabbri is not better than most of our roster, nor can he stay healthy. Fabbri does not get more ice time in CHI. We could easily keep our picks and sign someone better than him. The guy is not desirable in the least bit and DET will have to pay to move his contract. Get it done and get over it.

Hawks do want to get better. But there are far better options than Fabbri. He's a career 30 point per season player w/ persistent injury issues. Hawks will be looking for more impactful additions than Fabbri. UFA's like Marchessault, Bertuzzi, Tarasenko for the forward group. I'd actually be shocked if any team gave up a pick to acquire Fabbri.
