Sanheim wants to be in Philly so I doubt he waives.

I don't think we should move Foerster or Andrae or draft picks for a young star. Sure we need star power eventually, but at the phase of the rebuild we're in we need to build from the inside, getting a star at the cost of futures isn't going to help in the long term or short term.

I'm guessing there will be multiple Blues fans who will jump at this showing up. For me, that's a no. Even if the main plan (trading up) fails, there's others I'd rather turn to.

I think the Sanheim to stl ship has sailed. We aren't gonna run Sanheim/Leddy/Krug on the left side. Way too much money

Here's a tangentially related question for ya: how much ya want for Zemula down there on 3rd pairing even with Sanheim gone?

I agree. Plus its a bad idea to add another 6+M Dman unless we move one out.

I would be money flyers fans would want a 3rd or a 4th in reality tbh I don’t think he’s worth anything lol. He’s really not very good tbh. He’s worth a late pick at best. Wouldn’t shock me if he gets waived by the start of next season. He’s a serviceable 7/8 but doesn’t strike me as an every day player for a good team.

Or perhaps even if we do move one out.

With the cap going up and the options at the Blues disposal in the offseason to move a contract, I would be fine with making a trade for Sanheim.

The defense looks immediately better if you slot Sanheim in to play with #55 or #72 and can slide Krug down to the third pair to play sheltered minutes with Kessel. Ideally, you would move Krug or buy him out but our hand isn't forced to do so with the emergence of Neighbours and what Bolduc showed in the last 10 games.

Sure, but you can keep Amil. Foerster and the first would likely be enough.

Agree, solid value for Zegras, though I’d prefer something that includes Bonk alongside Foerster instead of the pick and prospect and then more value added on the ANA side

That said, I still see zero reason ANA considers trading Zegras unless they land Celebrini for another LHC

"Fleece"?!? I don't think that you understand Trevor Zegras. How is Foerster and the later of your two early firsts a "fleece"?!?!?

We don’t have two early 1sts unless I’m missing something here? They want the 2024 Philly 1st that is 12th overall and Foerster who should be in the top 5 for the Calder race. You get Zegras to pair him with Foerster otherwise Philly has no interest in the deal to begin with. Making a line of Tippett - Zegras - Foerster for the next decade would be the only reason u bring him to Philly

Yes, you're missing something. The OP traded Travis Sanheim for the St. Louis first (16th overall).

Pavel Mintyukov will get more Calder Trophy votes than Ty Foerster.

Overall, I looked at the trades like this:

Sanheim, Foerster, Andrae
for
Zegras and Perunovich

Flyers shed salary and get a bonafide 1C or 2C. Keep 12 and FLA pick. Hoping for Berkly Catton and another defenseman.
