Description
This is how I assume the draft goes. Utah gets #1 because it’s in the script.

1. Utah - Celebrini
2. San Jose - Levshunov
3. Chicago - Lindstrom
4. Anaheim - Silayev
5. Columbus - Demidov
6. Montreal - Catton
7. Ottawa - Parekh
8. Seattle - Buium
9. Calgary - Iginla
10. New Jersey - Connelly
Leaving Dickinson or Yakemchuk available at either 11 or 12

Reasons to trade down:
Buffalo - More RD are available at 16 with Jiricek and Elick being a reach to take at 11.
Philadelphia - Move back 4 spots to acquire depth draft picks and load up the pool.

Flyers aren't trading back. They need quality for their picks, not quantity.

That’s fair. Not sure what Philly needs but feel like they can still get a substantial prospect at 16.

Figured they’d need a RD and can get most likely 2 solid RD with 16th and 56th overall.

Their biggest need is by far a 1C. Even if all the good center prospects are gone they will probably just go BPA since there will still be a good prospects available at that pick.

100% fair. Maybe Catton or Connelly is there at 12

Catton could fall that far but I don't want to get my hopes up too much. One of Catton, Helenius or Eiserman will be available at that pick inevitably.

Eiserman should fall quite a bit with Iginla moving into the top 10

Im be intrigued if Perunovich and 16 were packaged together for Flyers 12.

Buffalo could consider that, but I think using the value of trading back to get a ready now asset makes more sense. Buchnevich, Schenn, or Parayko come to mind if the Blues wanna do a little youth reset here.

Why wouldn't the Sabres just take Yakemchuk at 11? I bet they'd take a forward any how.

I think Buchnevich would be Buch + TOR 2nd for 11th and maybe a B level prospect

Dang. My logic is flawed. Before I had Yakemchuk at 9 going to Calgary but changed it to Iginla.

lol all good. i think your logic sound but even if yakemchuk is gone, the Sabres dont really care about left vs right for the blue line. Also get the impression they just dont like drafting d-men in the first round.

I’d be good with this too but nothing else tbh. The pick swap trade u made originally just doesn’t help them

Yeah that’s fair I did copy and paste to be easy for me. But 16th and Perunovich for the 12th is a solid move.
