Trades
1.
VGK
  1. Liljegren, Timothy [RFA Rights]
  2. Marner, Mitchell
  3. 2026 3rd round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Marner Extended (7 x 11) - Toronto has to split up the core and marner would love the attention in Vegas under no pressure due to them having just won a cup. he would absolutely thrive there
TOR
  1. Roy, Nicolas
  2. Sapovaliv, Matyas
  3. Theodore, Shea
  4. 2024 1st round pick (VGK)
Additional Details:
Theodore Extended (7 x 9) - Vegas has just acquired hanafin and signed him long term showing maybe the end of theodores tenture with the knights. they wont be able to afford him with an already expensive d-core and will need to replace the likes of marchy and stephenson, meaning marner is a good option to do so.
2.
VGK
  1. Veleno, Joseph [RFA Rights]
  2. 2024 3rd round pick (DET)
DET
  1. Hill, Adin
Additional Details:
Thompson is cheaper and has emerged as the starter for Vegas, Hill would go to Detroit to be their number 1 (Hussa has looked pretty shaky at times)
3.
VGK
  1. 2024 6th round pick (CHI)
CHI
  1. Lehner, Robin
Additional Details:
Vegas cant afford him as a backup, and Lehner has played in Chicago before and could ease his way back into a statter role splitting time with Mrazek and showing teams hes still got it

Lehner is LTIRetired. His cap doesn't count

You fooled me on the realistic...good one! Lehner hasn't played a game in over 2 years, carries a cap hit of $5M and salary of $4.5M. It took a 2nd round pick for the Hawks to take on Josh Bailey and buy him out. You want us to PAY a 6th rounder to pay $4.5M for Lehner? Try sending the Hawks a 2nd+ in order for that to work.

Some are thinking he's trying to make a comeback because he's got money issues. I have zero inside knowledge. Just what I read.

A marner for Theodore trade would be absolutely wild. It’s the only realistic way I could see VGK make it work though. I don’t think the leafs would accept pietrangelo with his age

If Marner would want to stay in Vegas, he would have to take sub 10 million imo

I can’t see Vegas trading Shea either though

if he does come back chicago could use him (they have more then enough money to) or if he dosent then he just stays on ltir? why would vegas pay to get off it

theodores a fan fav for vegas but like them signing hanafin long term means they definitely wont have enough money to sign him.. and losing marchy and stephenson means them needing to replace their production. Theyd love marner and marner would thrive with no pressure. Theodore is a perfect fit for Toronto too and i think its the only way both teams figure it out

thats fair but hes a greedy ****, theodore was untouchable to me until they traded + extended for hanafin. definitely most realistic now when they have marchy and stephenson to replace upfront with low assets & $

Because they need the cap space if he's trying to make a comeback. They need to be cap complaint on day 1 of next season. Means they can't use that $5M in cap if he's coming back.

thats fair maybe throw in a lower pick to chicago then? why wouldnt they take him on an expiring and take a chance that he returns to form and capitalize on his value come deadline time. seems good to me

Because of a few reasons. It's ALOT of risk. He hasn't played in over 2 years already and you don't do favors for free. Hawks already have Mrazek for the starter role and three goalies that need NHL ice time.
