No way MTL does that. They are looking forward to when Armia's contract is over...Doubt they would want to move him for a similar player that's more expensive and has an additional year to his deal....

EDIT: Not to say WIN can't have Armia...He's yours if you want him!! just give MTL a mid pick or prospect and I'd be happy!

EDIT 2: Iafallo's contract finishes at the same time as Armia's. Still not overly interested.

Larsson and Winnipeg say no to the first. It's unlikely Ehlers is moved for one year of a 32YO.

If the Jets move Iafallo it is to gain cap space not to downgrade to a player with a bad contract. It would probably just be for a pick

Deals expire at the same time, more value in iafallo as a rental at the deadline than armia, cap difference not here nor there.

My mistake! all the same, I would rather free up a spot than take one another roster player. The whole adding rental players to flip at the deadline will be difficult considering MTL will only have 1 retention slot left.

Fair enough, jets can’t make the deal either, need ability to have some competition in camp with some of the kids coming and or possibly ufa, roster spots are pretty full at the moment.

I can't imagine Seattle turns that down. Why not Re-sign Dillon or DeMelo for a slightly higher cap hit?

Although I cannot wait until Armia's contract is over and I can have Dom Perignon in a bubble bath, trading him for a slightly worse contract isn't the answer.
