The only players of interest for Guhle

Created by: Joblow
Team: 2023-24 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: May 2, 2024
Published: May 2, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
MTL
  1. Boldy, Matthew
  2. 2024 1st round pick (MIN)
Additional Details:
Boldy is the only players that would interest management in a Guhle discussion. Rossi and all the pick you want isn’t nearly enough.
MIN
  1. Guhle, Kaiden
  2. 2024 1st round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
Guhle is not on the trade market and Habs ask will be extremely high since they have Guhle in high regard. They believe so much in him that they traded Romanov even before is first step in the pro.

Just draft Iginla if you want a big scoring winger. MTL isnt drafting Ghule and their 2024 1st.

I get you just wanted the crazy Rossi trades to stop.

My point was that Guhle isn’t on the trade block and if a team call they will need to pay the asking price.
That price would be a top line star player

I don’t like Iginla, you don’t draft a Lehkonen/Hyman type of player with a top 10 selection

yeah, Hyman's only average 0.5 G/GP since going to Edmonton, and Lehkonen's only won a Cup while averaging 60+ pts/82 GP in Colorado, I would -hate- getting those types of players with my top 10 pick.

Lol… watching the OP faceplant their previous argument is hilarious. You realize you said it with this proposal that Boldy is a ridiculous asking price for Guhle, right?

Boldy ~ #5 overall
Guhle ~ #13 overall

Minnesota would reject this proposal. Boldy is the #2 producer from his draft class, ahead of Cozens, Zegras, and Caufield and none are particularly close to his ppg. He is probably worth #2 in this draft by himself. The players available at #5 likely would not be worth Boldy in the short or long term.

Complementary top 6 wingers can be added via trade (Lehkonen/Hagel), drafting top 10 you should draft potential star players (McDavid/MacKinnon/Rantanen/Makar/Draisaitl,etc.).

And Minnesota have every right to reject the proposition. That doesn’t change that Boldy is the only players that would make a Guhle deal possible. Is that to hard to understand? If you don’t like the asking price, refuse and pass to something else. If Minnesota want Guhle their no other way than to trade Boldy. NO OTHER WAY

I. Did. Not. Ask. For. Guhle.

I think he’s easily overrated at this point given how you talk about him like he’s prime Drew Doughty or something.

No you went on a rampage because my comment emotionally hurt your feeling. And now for some reason you can’t understand a simple principal.

You're just vastly overrating Guhle like a typical Habs fan.

I mean, I don't fully disagree, but it's worth mentioning that the players you listed here are former #1, #1, #10, #4, and #3 overall picks. Rantanen is kind of the exception to the rule there - you can easily point to guys like Scott Glennie, Dylan McIlrath, Zach Hamill, Nikita Filatov, Olli Juoelvi, Lias Andersson, Michael Dal Colle, Griffin Reinhart, Vitali Kravstov, and so on as guys drafted in that #4-10OA range that completely flamed out.

I mean, hell, if you wanna do the "redraft" gimmick for the names you mentioned, it's worth mentioning that Hyman is 10th overall in goals scored for his draft class and Lehkonen is 25th overall in his class for overall scoring - you could make a strong argument that if you go back in time and draft those years all over again with the knowledge of how they've both turned out that both guys would be borderline lottery picks at worst. I get what you're saying about the type of player you want to get with a lottery pick, but the truth is anything outside the top 2/3 picks has a pretty decent chance into turning into nothing.

I wouldn’t if I was a Habs fan. Y’all are already tiny enough. I’m saying Boldy is an unreasonable ask for Guhle, which was a conversation sparked in a previous ACGM.

No interest in trading Yurov and potentially pissing off Kaprizov.

There nothing unreasonable about asking for Boldy. Why is that so hard to understand. Habs ask for Boldy. Guerin doesn’t have to trade him but if he absolutely want Guhle that will be the cost. It a pretty simple concept to understand. That why good players are not often traded. No one want to part ways with them but when it’s the case team have to pay the hard price. Again it’s a pretty easy concept to understand.

We have been drafting Russians to try and keep him happy. He was jacked to have Khusnutdinov here and he's probably nothing more than a 3C. Yurov is a guy that could be playing 1C next to him.
