Minnesota has no center depth and desperately needs centers so I don’t see why they make that deal

They have one of the best center prospects a year away...and a lot of wingers that can play in middle.

Rossi doesn't seen like an obvious name to move, but apparently, its possible.

From a Pens' fan, I think the value is close, but a 2nd is just a little expensive for his services unless he takes a step forward.
I'm a big believer in him, though. Even where he's at now, he scored 16 goals and 33 points, and was an excellent PKer.

Ek-Rossi-Khusnutdinov-Gaudreau with Hartman being able to play center as well. What do you mean by "no center depth"?

I wouldn't do this deal because it's not what Minnesota is after. Minnesota would be looking for a guy like a Cutter Gauthier (big forward with offense). Additions as necessary. That's what Russo said when he was talking about Rossi being traded.

If the Wild were to trade Rossi, it would be to bring immediate help to the roster. This offer doesn't do that. Wild decline.

If we are picking 2oa, I doubt we take Lindstrom. I have been kind of rotating names in each ACGM with guys that may go at #10.

Hard to tell what they do with draft pick. Since we have fewer picks than normal, I could definitely see them trading back to accumulate more assets. Most of our core is set, just need to fill holes (extra dman, 3C, goalie, some bottom six forwards). And probably easier to do with more pieces.

I don't see any scenario where Lindstrom makes it past Montreal unless they move up. He is a guy that fits their MO perfectly. You might be able to get Eiserman at 10 though. if I were you I would probably take Helenius unless you end up moving the pick

Eiserman could be good, especially if we trade Holtz. Dickinson is a guy I keep wanting to drop. Buium too. I would take Catton probably over Helenius.

Will likely be gone by #10: Celebrini, Levshunov, Demidov, Catton, Eiserman, Dickinson, Buium

So then becomes a debate about…. Silayev, Helenius, Connelly, Lindstrom, MBN, Parekh, Greentree, Iginla, Boisvert, Chernyshov, Jiricek…and I don’t see any that separate themselves from pack. I could see any of those guys. Probably why it makes sense to move back.

Who do you think Calgary likes at #9?

Eiserman will drop the same way Caufield did. His lack of defensive responsibility will hurt. I think the top 9 in no particular order will be Celebrini, Levshunov, Demidov, Catton, Dickinson, Lindstrom, Iginla, Buium, and Parekh. I could also see Utah specifically taking Silayev.
