Seems like everyone is proposing PLD for Huberdeau trades lately but a trade that gets the two playing together makes more sense. A big physical center with good skill might be exactly what the doctor ordered to get Huberdeau going again.
LA has good good D now but Doughty is 34, Roy is 29 and UFA now so it might make sense for them to bring a younger top 4 RD. Andersson has 2 more years left on a team friendly contract.
Calgary also gets a 1st round pick which can be packaged up with other assets to move up at the draft and select big physical skilled RD prospect Carter Yakemchuk. The Flames have plenty of cap space to pickup a decent UFA (LA's Matt Roy maybe) who can fill in for a few years while Yakemchuk develops.
LA saves cap space and ensures their defense will continue to be very good for years to come.
Calgary can add a like player Rooney or Schwindt if LA wants someone to fill in at center in the bottom 6.
