DAL obviously declines. Also, there is absolutely no reason for TOR to trade a 1st rounder for Ingram.

I don't think they move Ingram for a 1st, he's good and cheap and Utah has a million picks. Dallas declines

Heiskanen holds significantly more value than Marner. This is horribly lopsided

What is the last comment you made that wasn’t an outright rejection of a post on this board. According to your logic and criteria there would be a grand total of zero trades in the nhl.

You could take a time machine to 6 months from now and write down all the trades.

Travel back to today posting them and buddy would tell you why none of them will happen. LOL

Guy is a mark.

Why wouldn't he? He's an elite forward. does this trade make sense I don't think so but there is no reason why he couldn't return another elite D

What's worse....Dallas making that trade, or the Leafs signing Zaradov and Pesce to seven years, Kane for four years, or thinking Minten and Cowan are NHL ready in October.

Maybe for a defenseman who has also an expiring contract. But there isn't a single team in the league that would trade an young and elite D who is locked up long term for a rental.

well I should specify that he won’t get an elite D in a good contract situation. but regardless, elite wingers are simply worth less than elite 1D. especially when that winger is on a very expensive, expiring contract where he will immediately need a new, even more expensive extension, and he has a full NMC so he can decide if or where he goes. plus that winger, for all his talent, is generally seen as a complimentary winger and not a primary driver on his lines

You have to take into consideration that he can sign an extension July 1st so there are sign and trades etc that can happen

Like I said above I don't think this trade works however that doesn't mean they can't get other elite D

certainly not of the calibre of Heiskanen and other top 5/10 D. they’d definitely have to be looking more in that sorta Seth Jones/Dougie Hamilton/Damon Severson type territory
