I think Pulock for Ehlers works better for the Isles as part of a larger trade. Jet's add Pionk, Isles add a forward (Palmieri? JGP?). The Isles don't have a ton of RD depth in the org.

This would work for the Jets.

I would expect Pulock to exercise his full NTC on this.

I don't know much about Pulock so please someone enlighten me why Winnipeg would want a 29 year old with 6 years left on a contract of 6+ mil. Is he that good? I am not against it, just seems like while it address a need. They may be able to find someone a bit younger.

Finding above average RHD are extremely hard to come by, especially when they’re younger. I also think the long contract benefits the Jets since they wouldn’t have to worry about him leaving in free agency since Winnipeg isn’t the most attractive destination.
