Rangers can't trade Schneider. He's earned a top 4 role this season and will be a major piece of our backend for years. Ehlers and Lucius are certainly of interest for NYR but package would have to look a little different without Schneider.

No. The rangers are likely running back the same exact lineup next year with AHL promotions

Fox, schneider, Trouba is their right side until Trouba is off the books

Honestly, I thinking people underestimate how intimidating a player like him is. He may not have hands, but teams know when he is on the ice. It was the same with the Jets when they Byfuglien.

I dislike him less when he isn’t playing big minutes. I’ve been calling for him all year to be 6th defenseman (5v5 TOI) and top pair penalty kill

He’s extremely slow, makes bad pinches trying to throw a hit and turnover machine. He’s been better with reduced time against bottom 6 players

Fox - untouchable.
Schneider - nearly untouchable.
Trouba - available for the right price (young player or 1st).
Ruhwedel - UFA.
