Pittsburgh trades Crosby and downgrades while not adding futures and getting worse in the now, also taking on 2.3 million extra, Dubas would have a statue built in Toronto for accepting that deal.

Marner for Power AND Quinn is insane. Even Power straight up is lopsided, Calgary could get a lot more for Markstrom then Liljergren

Dear Toronto fans, you are setting your expectations way too high for a marner trade. Think Taylor Hall. Everyone knows the leafs have to move him, he is a rental, he has a full NTC, he has a cap hit that most teams can't take on and he is going to be bitter towards the leafs so he won't do you any favors. You will be lucky to get a first for him. You can also say it will come with an extension but that would mean a team is paying market rate for him so there really is no excess value with that.

Remove Markstrom from that trade and the Flames might take it that's how little value Liljegren has right now
