Personally, I don't think CHI will have any interest in Marner or spending what it would take to get him. If he likes CHI enough to waive his FULL NMC, just wait and get him in free agency. There is no point in CHI going out and buying a superstar at this point in their rebuild. We would squander the rest of his prime and he would likely have a huge dip in production by the time CHI is actually ready to be a contender, at which point his extension will become a problem. Waste of assets and a waste of time.
