Value isn't horrible but we don't need more offensive defenceman. We also likely cant shell out most of our cap on Filip without moving on from Marner

Certainly wouldn’t call Hronek a true top pairing D. He’s played well this season with Quinn Hughes, his first season that I would consider to be above average. His play in the playoffs hasn’t been as impactful as his regular season play. That being said, Leafs would probably consider this

I really like the idea of hronek or another player that is expected to sign for around a similar price point but if we get any Dman at 6M+ we need liljegren to stay on a bridge deal

We absolutely need more offense from our D. That has been one of our biggest problems for YEARS.

Fair points, he actually had two really good years with Detroit before coming to Van. He doesn't put up crazy points but does everything really well.

Fair, I was making this assuming Marner gets dealt for assets

Don’t see the Leafs burning a 1st (& Lili) on an RFA looking to get paid major $. We can’t fit him cap wise and we don’t have draft picks to spare; address RHD via FA

Don't hate it from a value perspective, but would rather just sign someone like Pesce or Montour in FA without giving up a 1st
