Positionally I think Yak would be the pick, but I could also see it being Buium.

If its Buium the Sabres top 4 would be:

Buium-Dahlin
Byram-Power

that would be nasty

Buium won’t make it to #11…he would be the pick here.

Kind of absurd that Buium has fallen this far, I missed the NJ poll yesterday but he would've been my pick there.

Having said that, gotta think this pick ends up being Yakemchuk. Just really hard to see Buffalo going with a LHD here over a big tough RHD

Devils dont need another dman, they will most likely trade the pick for an overpay goalie. I would trade with the WIld 13th and gust for 10th and brennen. Hard to see NJ go Defence when they have an army already waiting, so i guess Devils dont need size and physicality?

As a Sabres fan, I’d have to think they’d go Buium. As glaring a hole that RHD is, Kevyn Adams and the org doesn’t really care too much about handedness and seem to draft BPA more often than not. Yakemchuk wouldn’t be a bad pick at all for 11 but I think that if the board fell this way, Buium is the pick.

Reality is that "x player shouldn't have fallen this far"... there's two of those going to go around 11-13 range, and that's not accounting for if a team at 7OA really goes off the board or whatever, like someone does almost every year.

I agree...(I am hoping that happens)

I think Lindstrom at #4, Iginla at #5, Parekh at #7 would qualify as 'early' picks for those guys in this mock. But all could go top-10.

I meant to pick Buium, but I misclicked and picked Yak. Though I could still see it being Yak if we are going off recent history.

Offense alone, Buium doesn't make it past 10th.

Kevyn Adams has a trend of doing this:

First pick of the draft: he picks a Canadian born player
Second pick: picks a Swedish born player
Third pick: picks a Canadian born player

Or he likes to go, first pick of the draft, WHL stud
2nd pick, toolsy foreigner pick
3rd Pick, character guy he could’ve gotten a round or two later🤣
