NSH isn't going to trade the player they just signed for picks. NSH's center situation is bad, and NSH can't afford to give up a center, even one like Novak who isn't great at faceoffs.

NSH will likely have only 2 centers signed at that point, Svechkov and Parssinen. Why would NSH not just resign him again? ROR will be out the door and Sissons likely will as well. If NSH goes and gets someone like Cirelli or takes a chance on someone like Norris then sure I'd be open to someone like this, but NSH has one, maybe 2 NHL caliber centers after Parssinen. Things can change, but I wouldn't be keen on trading any centers from NSH without one either coming back or we see NSH start drafting more centers
