A #4 defender for a good 2/3C? Have to think PIT would have to throw in more. Plus CHI needs centers badly.

Chicago needs a dman to round out top 4 and cap space.

The problem here is that Cole is on his last year contract. And Hawks probably wouldn't have cap space to re-sign him. So, this is certainly not enough for Anisimov. We would have to add a prospect to make it happen. Probably Pouliot and a 1st or Sprong and a 3rd. Something like that...

Would rather keep Cole than bring another often injured center long term.

Cole and Pouliot for AA, great... So who is supposed to fill in the hole on D? Injured Anisimov would become a Fedorov playing a defenceman?

And they just won't trade Sprong so soon besides that Anisimov is another offensive center. PIT will seek another type of 3C I suppose.

You open up a hole on D you can not fill so easily. I can rattle off 8 3rd C that work better than Anisimov and have less injury problems. I don't think PIT needs to take a risk on that contract either. Cole is more important to the team than AA ever would be.
