Decent trades considering Torontos cap predicament. And at the same time giving teams player they would want or need but who would replace Jones on SJ?

In don't know why you think the Leafs are in cap problems. They aren't. Don't you acknowledge LTIRs? Teams that in trouble are only have 19 roster players and a cap space of 3m.
Assuming that the Leafs are in playoff run, why would they trade Bozak? Teams tend to add at TDL if they are contention not subtract. But on this site,,,the Leafs HAVE to trade their upcoming UFAs. Almost the same with JVR, though it a more even trade for value, Doubt if the Ducks would do the deal.
Gardiner was arguably the best Leaf Dman last year. Trading him with his two year of control versus three years for Trouba, when the Leafs have to include Brown, isn't that great for the Leafs. Might have made sense in the summer of 2016.

Your insane if you think the Ducks do that deal. Come on. Get real.

No thanks to Marchenko being included. Granted, deal looks more realistic than the last one, but not quite there.

The Trouba trade is pretty even, I know because it hurts to lose Brown and Gardiner, let alone the pick. Marchenko is a throw away, he's waiver material.
It hurts so much I might not be able to pull the trigger even though it has structural advantages for the Leafs.
I suspect Jets fans wouldn't bite because they likely don't appreciate Gardiner and over value Trouba.
palhal liked this.

Agree with you Billius. I don't know why Trouba is put on such a pedestal on this forum. Because he was a "holdout", I can't think of better definition some folks think is a top 10 Dman in the league. I understand why the Jets don't make the trade. But if you're an optimist that Gardiner is now a good NHLer as he was last year, it isn't a lopsided deal for the Leafs either.

Max Jones on Anaheim, the prospect. Not Martin Jones on San Jose.

Dosent matter because the Ducks easily say no.
