Uugghh..... whats the incentive for me then? Your guys cost more and are currently playing in the AHL, both IRL and in this game....

Yeah, no I'll keep the pick in there thank you very much.

The AHL players were your idea, not mine. I can ride out both of their deals and be fine.

I'll do 5th instead of a 2nd. unless you have another suggestion

OK so let me get this straight, You offer me this:

"I'll do a 6th for Martinook given his production. 4th for Rieder."

I add on two AHL'er contracts with high cap only to get a worse return in the end.?

      No thanks.

Those are pretty darn close but there is but one problem. Cap. I can't lose all these players without taking cap back. So you would need to send me contracts back. How about this?

      Rieder
      Martinook
      for
      Colbourne
      Kruger
      2nd 2018

you asked for the higher return by taking back 2 AHL contracts. i'm telling you no to that deal because i'm not interested in dealing them becuase i'd have to give up a higher pick. I didn't say i wouldn't do what i originally offered.

if you're not interested in that, that's fine

Guess you forgot the part where I said this:

"Those are pretty darn close but there is but one problem. Cap. I can't lose all these players without taking cap back. So you would need to send me contracts back. How about this?"

If you can't give me cap back while making it worth my while than there is no trade to consider.

ok. How about Del Zotto and a 2019 6th for Rieder and Martinook?

Del Zotto and Rieder is basically a 1-1 and you get the pick for Rieder.

I don't actually mind MDZ all that much but Im getting away from what it is im actually looking for though. Getting MDZ just means another guy I would need to flip again.

I figured taking dead space off your hands was a plus. Not a minus.....

It's not. I just don't want to pay a 2nd round pick for you to take deadweight. The one guy expires this year and the other only has a year left

Would you be interested in MDZ in a separate deal?

OK so make it a 3rd then. .... doesn't have a 2nd or nothing. There is plenty in between.

I could be yes. It might depend on this deal and another.

I actually think i'll pass on Rieder and Martinook at this time. Adding those two isn't really going to move the needle for me this year one way or another.

If you're interested in acquiring Del Zotto, let me know. He won't be too expensive

Oh ok nevermind then. If i take Del zotto, its for other players going the other way though. Not just a draft pick.

      Asking price on Fischer?

(Insert overpriced first offer just to make sure we start at high enough ceiling in which to negotiate down from, here)

I'll start by offering Chlapik straight up (just starting low, we can negotiate) ... now you can make a huge asking price, and i can offer something a bit more in the middle, and on and on until we either have a deal or this doesn't work.

      Hehe that's the spirit!

Im not too interested in Chlapik to be honest. I mean i like him but Fischer is scoring in the NHL already.

Are you interested in any of the players in my actively shopping list? maybe we can work some of those guys into this deal too?

That could potentially work. Its a little hard to gauge the value of picks though since the metric for deciding the ranking is up in the air it seems. If its has anything to do with power rankings, your's is going to be late 1st...

Not really interested in those guys, especially if Fischer is part of this deal. What about guys like Christian Jaros, Gabriel Gagne, and Francis Perron? Do any of those guys interest you? We could add (a) pick(s).

I like Batherson and Ceci. The guys you mentioned are not enough. Im not looking for quantity over quality here.

No thanks. i'd prefer a higher quality prospect. Im not sold on Hinostroza being anything more than a bottom 6 player.

yeah it would be late if based on the power rankings but it's not like the player im asking about is really worth a top-10 pick or anything haha. Let me know I guess if interested still. Looking to make a final move or two for the deadline
