Understood, forgot you guys got Forsberg for a moment. As for Yak, what round pick would you potentially be willing to give up? I was thinking something like a 2019 4th + 2020 7th but I'm willing to negotiate. If you have a counter offer, submit it; if not, then I suppose talk to HoffmanisKing about it

If we don't get any of the other guys then we might give you a 6th

Who are the other guys out of curiosity? Thought it was just Fischier

Let me or Taboo know on the NYI page if none of your deals are going through, we can negotiate then. I've already established my asking price of 2019 4th + 2020 7th, but from here on I'll just wait and see how your other negotiations unfold smile

Fischer is our #1 guy we're going after, but Sheary, Noesen, and Ennis are also guys we're looking at.

            @HoffmanisKing we can't trade McDavid until Jan 1, 2019.

            Price on Anton Forsberg??

You waived him, right? If so, would whoever you got him from on waivers be allowed to claim him before we make a trade if we do? Either way, we'd move him if we got a young, better goalie, but we brought him in because he's a potential starter. Not that he'll be a starter but he has that potential.

"Potential"?? Is that what you're building your team on? Remember that time I offered you Martin Jones for the incredibly low price of 2 draft picks? Your AGM thought it was a good deal, but you shot it down because you somehow think Anderson is "better".
To answer your question, since I was the last team to have Forsberg, the only team that could "re-claim" him would be me but only if you put him on waivers, which you likely won't. At least that's how I understand it. So you either keep him or trade him for assets. But his numbers don't lie. Only 43 NHL games in 4 seasons doesn't exactly scream "potential starter" and this year the only reason he got in so many games IRL is because of the Crawford injury in CHI. Without that he'd have spent even more time in the minors. Sure, it could change, but when you look at his contract history he's only increased his salary by 100K in 4 years. That again doesn't really scream "potential" in my eyes. He hasn't even been a full time AHL starting goalie.

I respect your position and expected return though. But "younger, better" goalies are hard to come by right now. trust me, I've looked. And I had to ask since it was never my intention to lose him via waivers int he first place. Simply wanted to send him to the minors where he belongs smile

If we can get an upgrade for the future at a reasonable price, we'd do it, so we're not just going with 'potential' but because we have him we're not gonna move him for picks. About Jones, you wanted a 1st in 2019 i believe. With how bad the Sens are this year, as much as we're trying to be better next year, there's still the chance that they'll be bad again next year, which could make that a pretty high pick.

You do know "real life" results don't count in this game for what makes you a "good or bad" team?? Yes the real life Sens suck, but the in game Sens are far better on paper.
I mean real life stats count to help value players, so based on that you have a lot of guys who's "value" has dropped off quite a bit. We all have some guys that fit in that category, it's not just you.
And you somehow fail to understand, if you gave up a 2019 1st & 2nd for Jones, you have more than enough guys you could use to get those picks back in other deals.
You just aren't willing to actually move anyone. If you look at Jones's stats, there's only 1 year that he hasn't backstopped a team to the playoffs in over 10 years. That's damn productive for a goalie.

I bet if he was a former Senator you'd be all over this deal laughlaugh

Yeah, i know, it's not about real life standings only but i doubt adding Brodie and not doing the Duchene-Turris trade would actually make the Sens a playoff team or anything this year.

It looks like your Fischier is now officially not happening. Ready to start negotiating on Yakupov?

            I'm interested in picks, that's it. Something like a 4th + 5th + 7th

If you want, we can take a cap dump in Burrows, but you would have to compensate us for taking his salary on. The price then would be something like 3rd + 4th + 7th.

            We don't want to give up 3 picks for him ... maybe a 6th and a 7th.

I need a 4th + another pick or two at minimum. I'll counter with two options:

            Option 1: 4th + 6th

            Option 2: Burrows + 3rd + 4th + 2020 7th

            I don't see yakimov as a great fit for us. We'd do a 6th and a 7th, that's our offer.
