I think I can meet part of your asking price, as I can now spare a 2019 2nd.

            Minnesota Wild
            Freddie Claesson
            2018 6th round pick (OTT)

            Ottawa Senators
            Gustav Olofsson/Kyle Quincey (pick one)
2019 2nd round pick (your choice)

Weise has been on the 3rd line but I understand. Figured I'd ask since you don't have a full NHL lineup with Brown on the roster. you could move Burrows down to 4th line and plug weise in the 3rd.

i would feel safer putting him on the 4th, so i'd give you a 6th or a 7th.

What about Pyatt and a 6th?

            50% and maybe a 4th?

Id be willing to retain 20% in exhange for Borowiecki and a 5th

how about 50% for Borowiecki and a 4th?

Probably only in a deal for a bigger piece but you can make another offer if you want.

What do you want for chabot

i'd want probably a top pairing LHD but i would add of course

            Quoting: krakowitz
I'd do Matt Irwin for Claesson. Gives you a little more stability and reliability. I saw you threw out a price of two second round picks, but I highly doubt anybody would come close to that with few games of NHL experience, and hasn't put up the best numbers.

If this isn't it, what's the best offer you've gotten for him so far?

this is my first offer for him, i'm looking for picks for him, not another d-man.

            Quoting: TonyStrecher
            Any interest in Brendan Gaunce?

            not really.

maybe if you change Olofsson/Quincey to a 2nd

            a 5th for Weise and a 7th maybe?

no i was asking of your orignal offer. You said a 6th or 7th for Weise. I said what about Weise for Pyatt and a 6th OR 7th?

I think I can meet part of your asking price, as I can now spare a 2019 2nd.

            Minnesota Wild
            Freddie Claesson
            2018 6th round pick (OTT)

            Ottawa Senators
            Gustav Olofsson/Kyle Quincey (pick one)
2019 2nd round pick (your choice)

maybe if you change Olofsson/Quincey to a 2nd

Unfortunately, after a deal I struck with CGY, I can no longer spare a 2nd rounder. Can I get Claesson without giving up a 2nd?

i don't want to give up Pyatt in a deal for Weise. I'm willing to do a pick, that's all.

i'm interested in Russell, but if i'm moving Claesson i'd rather get picks ... how about just Brassard for Russell+?

The best I can do now is Quincey + 2018 3rd. Could I add something else small? It's time to pop your trade cherry.

For what it's worth, that's what I offered jmac for the similar Adam Pelech, but he unfortunately left before we could pull the trigger on it.

i'd want probably a top pairing LHD but i would add of course

i'd still much rather a 2 2nds, that's the whole reason i want to trade Claesson, because it gives Borowiecki a spot in the lineup, and it gets me those picks.

It depends what it is. If i'm doing something huge it's probably an offseason deal or maybe a deadline deal, but we can talk now.

The something big I had in mind involves both Roman Josi and Erik Karlsson. Josi's exceptional contract value makes him more valuable in trades, but there are still a lot of moving parts in this deal.

            Nashville Predators
            Erik Karlsson
            Mark Stone

            Ottawa Senators
            Roman Josi
            Kyle Palmieri
2018 1st round pick (your choice)
            More pieces

As a structure, what do you think? Karlsson is due for a raise in two years, and Stone is this year. Your salary structure could get thrown off with those two raises, especially if you plan on bringing in a true #1 center. This way you still have exceptional players, another first round pick, and more cap flexibility to bring in a #1 center. Whatcha think?
