Well McDonagh comes at a much better deal IMO (as he's the better defenseman and he only costs a little bit more) so like, if you were willing to do Ekholm+ for Chabot i'd consider it.

More developments, RAIF. After the Marchessault trade, I owe Vegas compensation. If we do this trade, it’ll immediately lead to another trade that, coincidentally, gives me just what I need to compensate VGK. Because of that, I’d be even more appreciative if you said yes to this deal; otherwise, giving VGK proper compensation will be much more difficult.

Also, even though Thompson is injured, I’d still prefer him over Burrows.
