Hudon is not a 2nd line forward just yet. Byron had a great year, so he may be rewarded with 2nd line minutes. There is no way that Mete is getting 1st pair minutes against Alzner. Other than that it looks great!

Both Hudon and Mete are placed where they're placed in the actual Habs lineup.

The only change here is pretty much Galchenyuk... Hudon is already playing 2nd line minutes with pleky and lehky, And he is doing great!! I thinks you should put Chucky on the right no matter which line... the only thing he's got going for him is his one-timer. Also, you need to put him with a great passer... you know... like Drouin or Hudon...
The problem is Pacc... if we put this line together, there will be no spark whatsoever and won't be able to get the puck in-deep.

God I hope the Habs miss the playoffs this year. That defense core made me gag a bit. MB has to go. He has made this team worse. All the "good" pieces were the teams before he arrived. All the moves he's made have been lateral or worse with the few exceptions at trade TDL's. (Petry, Vanek, Danault, etc)

Lehkonen has been playing well, but he's saddled with Plekanec. I'm not sure why we think Pleks is going to suddenly start producing like he did several years ago again.
Similarly, we expect Galchenyuk to produce with Danault and Shaw.
While I give Shaw full credit for playing hockey so far, instead of whatever it is he's been doing since he arrived, he's neither a shooter nor a playmaker. Chucky needs one or the other with him.

I'd like to see Lehkonen on the top RW and Galchenyuk as 2nd line RW (so he can focus on shooting and worry less about carrying the puck).

Fair enough, since Galchenyuk was drafted 6 years ago, only Lehkonen and Andrighetto have made any significant contributions to the Habs team. but 1 is no longer with the team though......... OK yeah he scored nicely with Lehkonen I agree. What about the rest of them? 1 player every 6 years is pretty abysmal.

Chucky needs to go. I am telling you now, if we don't trade him and get value for him now, we'll lose in the long run. He's only signed for 3 more years now and will never be put into a position where he can excel and bring up his value. Habs management's only salvation is if they move him now for something of value that can help this team because Galchenyuk is as good as gone from this team between now and 3 years from now. In addition to that, I've watched him closely. The kid is pretty bad defensively. Therrien was not wrong for sheltering him. Neither is Julien. The problem is letting the rest of the league know that. He should of been given top end minutes regardless and at least he would of had points to back up his value. That way you can trade him for fair market value.

Rico, I despise this regime of Habs management. MB needs to go and the more I think about it, I think Molson may be the problem. He is content with a team that always challenges for the playoffs because it brings in more money. He could care less about a Stanley Cup. As long as the bottom dollar is there, the rest is just white noise to him.

I agree with a lot of that.

Galchenyuk will be gone before too long. We spent his development years picking his game apart rather than building it up.
I'd say trade him for a top 6 C, but trading is hard and this isn't a video game. rolling eyes
