Fair Brassard deal
I think you're on the right track, but like everyone else said, they're going to want a 1st rounder to recoup what they gave up for Duchene. I like that you only retained 750k, because melnyk isn't going to allow much retention, if any. Hunwick may have negative value in a trade like this. Ott wants to shed salary not bring it back for 2 more years.

I like it a lot. Fair deal for both sides, although would LA be willing to do a 2nd for Sheary? Hard to say. Little worried about the left side which is already somewhat suspect. Still like it.

Deadline 3Peat
Chicago is a cap team, they're not going to want basically dead money in Hunwick, and they probably wouldn't want sheary either. He has little value. I do like the idea of AA though, one I haven't seen suggested yet.

pens
I don't understand why anyone wants Plekanec. He's old and useless. We don't want to repeat 2013 where we traded for a bunch of over the hill big names and got smoked like a bad cigar by Boston in the 2nd round. The pens crawled back into being relevant by taking advantage of young and/or speedy players. Not old broken bastards.

Giving up a ton but the return is pretty good. This would be solid for both teams, although 2 of the 3 players the Pens receive are UFAs. The Rangers would win this one by a mile in the long run, but the Pens would be set up for a run this year.

A Different Take on the Trade Deadline
I don't think that's enough for Galchenyuk tbh. He's 23, a former 30 goal scorer, and has 1st round pedigree. And Sheary has only moderate value. If you add a 1st rounder that may be doable. The other trades are reasonable, although I think i'd rather keep Kuhnhackl than trade him for a washed up Sharp.

My Hope (But realistic) Scenario - Mario and Tie BFF's
Not bad man, not bad. I'm not sure I really like Schenn all that much in general but the value is there on both sides. Rangers may want slightly more for Grabner to trade in division.

I think you'd have to get more for Sheary than that. Other trade isn't bad though. Is Colborne good enough to be 3C? Also, Jokinen should come a bit cheaper than that.

You'd definitely need to give up a lot more for Galchenyuk. Not a bad idea though.

Nicely done. Dumo will definitely get more though. Could affect ability to sign Moore

Getting Duchene
Unfortunately I think you're right on the money for Duchene. RFAs are pretty realistic as well. Filling the hole left by Maatta with Campbell and 3 years of Clendening? Seems like a recipe for disaster on defense.

Two major trades
Would need to add more for Duchene, and that's also way too much for Kane. RFAs are reasonable. Lastly Daley would cost nearly twice that for a 2 year deal.

Retain retain goes the refrain
Not bad. Realistic. I think i'd rather have Kunitz than another undersized d-man, which we have the market cornered on. Like the Buf trade a lot, could use some more size and he has enough scoring touch.

Just trade Scuderiiiii
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>marlocmarloc</b></div><div><i>How does this make sense for Colorado?</i></div></div>
It's based on a previous "rumor". COL is still run by members of The Old Boys Club and isn't analytically strong. Plus they're not all that deep on D.

Unfortunately it doesn't really save the pens much loot. Same reason demoting Adams last year during the 5 D fiasco wasn't a viable option

Realistic Pens
Like you're thinking, but Beleskey gets more than that on the open market. I think the Russians are still under contract with their KHL teams? Even so, i doubt they'd come back for that little. Plus, that's high risk putting them both up there. To offer sheet JT, you have to make it more than the Rangers want/can pay. so more than 2.7
