TB only has 3 RD with NHL experience under contract next year trading their best player at the position seems a nit counters productive they'll win the Cup or not he going for a deep run next year. They also have a logjam at LD

You stole my thunder (pun intended) i Was thinking The The same thing.
I know Someone will say Sergachev but really doesn't play as well On the right.
I was gonna go a little MN deeper pointing out they only have 3 NHL experienceed RD under contract next year

Nothing against TJ but no chance their giving up a young club controlled RHD with 6 years until UFA. He's been ppg in the OHL @19 and is waiver exempt.
I voted no @ the price a 2 and a top RD prospect

TB has a forward thinking GM, who sees that two of their best prospects are Thompson and Perbix, both RD….who also sees expiring RFA contracts for Sergachev, Colton, Cernak, Cirelli and Foote…who also sees their future cap number….who also sees the forward prospect pipeline and seeks to replenish the cupboard.
I have posted many far-fetched trade scenarios. But this one is actually plausible. Not sure what fits for a return though.</div></div>
Guys Without NMC'S Cermak is traded before.... List complete

I didn't put much into assessing needs of other teams here...was more about identifying an approach in off-season for NJD and a few names that might fit.
Feel free to offer trade suggestions.
But these are really just proxies for the lists of guys I named above.</div></div>
It about $1,000,000 cap besides good possibility NJ is on his no trade list

Killorn has had the best 3 years in his career the last 3 is on an extremely doable contract why on Earth does TB trade him for a LD a position they'have the best group in The league easy pass

No chance I would give up a top 10 pick for either.
I guess I understand not wanting to trade them. If your team is good best not to mess with it. But there is no way their actual value is anywhere close to what's being offered</div></div>
Cermak Specifically is by far their best RHS defenseman on A team with only 3 with NHL experience sigmed next year. He's a shutdown top pair defender whose skating and shot are very underrated on a great contract. There is a reason he's been on the ice to end the last 2 seasons

So TB trades Away their top RHD prospect essentially for a fifth and you think JBB doesn't laugh hysterically and hang up ? That trade makes less than no sense for them. TB counters Bouchard for a 4.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>It seems only CapFriendly folks are so worried about Canadian personal income taxes. We never hear about MLB or NBA players complain about Canadian taxes, when they sign here, or even when they are traded from an American team to Toronto. I've known Canadians who have worked/lived in Ontario, but claimed residence in Alberta (when the tax rate was lower in Alberta) so they paid the lower taxes. Generally, Canadian tax rates are based upon residence, not where you earn the income.
The other main factor is that the players are incorporated as "entertainers" and can shelter much of their income from immediate taxes, and not paid personal income rates on their income. I know one NHLer who had twelve year career, made I would say made 20m and was able to shelter all of that 20m and not pay taxes on it, since he never withdrew any money. He lived "modestly" on other NHL income had a house in his three cities he lived in, a condo in Toronto, and was married and had three children.</div></div>
NBA & MLB Have 1 team each and i know of no similar sight for either.

You're trying to tell me Quebec doesn't tax Canadiens players income)? I looked into this before in the US you pay state taxes for each game where it's played so any game you play say new york you pay NY taxes on games in CA you pay CA taxes on what you make for that game. However during my research i found Canada only taxes provincially to where the team is located so Canadiens players only pay Quebec not Alberta or Ontario .

So You do not think Edmonton Offers
5.25x3 giving JP A take home pay hike over the 6.you offered 5.25 with Alberta's tax rate of 15% he'd take home $4,462,500 compared to Quebec 33% which is a take home of $4,000,000 Meaning he takes home almost half a million more making 3/4 million less

Yeah it really isn't. Everyone not Ottawa decline. TB has no Zero zilch nada need for a $2,000,00 . Left defenseman .
The Islanders need bailey wayyyyyyy more than Zaitsev , and Murray is a cap dump you're not getting a 2 for.
With TB's left side why on Earth would they waste asset to get DelZotto it's mind boggling. Is he taking time from Hedman NO McDonagh NO Sergachev NO
