Yzerman isn't making that trade. I doubt Muzzin would waive his NTC for Detroit. No interest in Mrazek. Red Wings saw enough of that clown show. 🤡 Rasmussen is developing into a big shutdown 3C. 🙂

Not taking on two bad contracts for a late 1st and giving up a real good, young forward that is really blossoming into a solid 2 way player like Ras.

Detroit passes, Muzzin wont waive his NTC for Detroit. And why would we want Mrazek back? Holland dealt him for a reason and his lousy attitude no thanks.

TOR adds big time.

You’ve got two cap dumps with term and only give up one late late 1st? Remember when TOR gave a 1st to move one year of Marleau? You’ve got multiple years of Mrazek and Muzzin here

Why on earth would the leafs do this. Essentially paying a first to dump Mrazek. Not a chance.

Yeah I don't think it'll cost the Leafs a 1st to dump Mrazek. Maybe a 2nd. Dubas dumped Ritchie when most thought it was wishful thinking.

Ya, his buyout is only about 1 mil (a bit more, depending on the year but never 2 mil) for the next 4 years. Not that much.

remember when nick ritchies wad dumped for a 3rd and got lybushkin back? muzzin is still a usefull player too, way better than most detroit defense actually. he 100% got postive value (look what duncan keith got last year).

if im detroit i would do that trade. muzzin is an upgrade on defense and the term is good enough that he wont block kids to make the roster too much. mrazek has been horrible and would brobably be bought out or sent to minors, which is not too bad since detroit have capspace. maybe remove the 3rd and just send rasmusen? i keep hearing how rasmusen is becoming a good shutdown role player but i disagree, i have not been impressed by him at all. but he is still young and could turn it around. i would say that i thjnks its a fair trade mostly cause i think rasmusen is a very meh players, but thats my take . (i can undertand if some people disagree becasue they value him, but i personally dont)

How is Ritchies 2.5mil x 2yr cap dump anywhere close to comparable to:
Marleaus 6mil x1yr
Mrazeks 3.8mil x 2yr
Muzzin 5.6mil x 2yr

Not to mention Ritchies produced 21pts this year, which is pretty close to contract expectation from a bottom 6F making 2.5 mil player lol

Muzzins had multiple injuries and seems to play worse each time he returns.

ritchie had 9 points in 33 games, half oh them playing 100 points player. i mean i dont see how you cant see the mrazek comparable. for muzzin look at keith. he got a conditional second back. (and muzzin is not 50 years old like keith)
