I agree. I viewed it as essentially a celly, so I find it kind of silly to fight about it.

I know plenty about hockey. I want you to tell me why assaulting someone after the play is over is ok because he hit the puck hard.

Fair enough. I think he can be good fit for a few teams, but I can get that.

For real. Guerin liked Reaves and wanted him back but not at that price and term. If he was ok with the price and term, he would have signed him before he hit the open market.

Where is TB coming up with this magical salary cap space? Allow me to pretort your 8.59 million "projected TDL cap space" that assumes Sergachev is out until the playoffs. He isn't. According to Dave Mishkin on Lightning Radios "power Lunch " he'll be in the lineup against NYR tomorrow night.

Fair
Seriously Montreal fan TB doesn't want nor have the cap for Savard . Let me prebuttle the "8+millionTDL projected cap space" that must be going on the assumption Sergachev will be out until the playoffs . He won't he's expected to return either Wednesday when TB comes back from the All-star break or soon thereafter.

3 WAY BLOCKBUSTER - Florida Teams and ANA
And we send back the guys we just signed to their original teams, including eating salary, and higher picks, to get a project D, the goalie we let go in the office season, Jeannot, and later picks.
This trade makes about as much sense as a screen door on a submarine.

fair blockbuster from ottawas perspective
Better chance zeitsev gets resigned at 8x8 than OTT trading Pinto, and all of chych, senko and Pinto would command a 1st+ so NYR is severely fleecing OTT here.

I don’t think we need to add a RHD at all but for realism sake (we look like we want to) I mocked a trade for a RHD.

At this point, I think the Flames jump at that. Clearing up space for Wolf, getting rid of Vladar's cap hit, and getting a 3rd or 4th round pick is close to the best case scenario.

TB doesn't need scoring it needs goal prevention. Monihan doesn't help much there. TB CAN'T do salary for futures Zero Cap space.dollar in dollar out. Other than Sheary (who doesn't waive his NTC (IMO) there isn't anyone I'm really willing to part with for Monihan.

Philadelphia Flyers signed Owen Tippett (8 Years / $6,200,000 AAV)
Pays him middle 6 pay until he's 33. Seems like a low risk, high reward contract. Tippett gets the term, while Philly gets a fairly cheap Top 6 winger. Great deal.
